    about cherrypicking

If I have to cherrypick, Antonio Margarito would be
one of the last fighters I would choose.

Seems some people just have the inability to use their
    brains in some areas.

floyd represents the sport and when he does things outside the ring that brings a negative light to our sport through the world of cours it matters. This dude retires after a retirement , brings up drugs and peds like he is on a crusade, which is bull****, and he fights once a year. I agree about the catchweightfor titles that it isn't right, but please stop acting like its a blasphemy or something. catchweights are a part of boxing. It has been done by many greats before, so why is it a big deal when pac does it.[/QUOTE]

If Pacman woulda beat Cotto at a catchweight & that was that, there wouldn't be anything to point out,but now he's fighting Margarito for a vacant title at another catchweight, exactly how many catchweights title fights does he get credit for before enough is enough??

So you think Margarito is the best option out there for Pacqiauo as of right now?

pacs JRWW and WW run is a joke to me
What are you talking about Floyd being a small welter?!! Floyd's built and height runs smack at welter, he has the right built for a welterweight fighter. Manny, Marquez and Hatton are the small welters while Margarito, Cintron and Paul Williams are the big freak of nature welterweights...

You guys say Margs is cherrypicked by Manny.
At 5 feet 6 inches tall, I'd be terrified to pick Paul Williams
            ...at any weight.

You are talking about a career featherweight fighter just 2 years ago fighting big large men, and the catchweights in this title fights doesn't really affect his opponent's performance and health so what's the fuss...

The answer is plain and simple. A resounding NO.
Again, if I have to cherrypick my opponent I'd choose
someone with my own height. This is natural. It's a
                  survival instinct.

I don't get your point. Are you saying Margarito is an easy
                  fight?

Ok, so if your self proclaiming that he isnt the best option out there for Manny, then has he not 'picked' Margarito? A weaker option. Therefore doing the definition of 'cherry picking', picking an easier option.

When a fighter picks and chooses it shouldn't only be called cherry picking when its the worst choice, had Pac fought Yuri Foreman who is also alot taller than him, he would have also 'cherry picked' Foreman. There are no height restrictions in boxing.

My point is, as i said in my first post, saying Manny NEVER cherry picks is a lie, he doesnt do it all the time, but he does cherry pick from time to time, but then again, so does pretty much anyone, and as of right now, Manny is picking Margarito, a weaker option as appose to tougher options, thus could be said to be 'cherry picking'. Do i think its an easy fight? Meh, ish, not a walk in the park but it will be easy, Pacqiauo will punish Margarito in my opinion.

Nah. You'll never convince me that Margarito is a
cherrypicked opponent for Manny. You're only saying
size doesn't mean a thing in this fight is because you're
not a Manny fan. How many fights have you seen in
the last ten years where there is a significant height
                      advantage between fighters?
