Yeah I have to agree on the homie's post above me. Pac man is waxing everyone's ass. Just that some of his fans (not all of them) are some of the most dumb racist, multiple fake account making mutha****ers that ever lived.
Agreed! His mindless, non-true-fan cheerleaders make it hard to root for him. After arguing that he was a top 2-3 p4p fighter for years, I had to jump off his bandwagon a couple years ago.
He's entertaining, but he isn't what *******s make him out to be - not even close.
Hating on a fighter because you dislike his fanbase is ******ed, that would apply to any boxer that has cross-over appeal. I still like watching Mayweather fight even if his supporters are morons.
Pac has the best resume and is the most exciting fighter of the decade, he looks for big historic fights. If you don't appreciate what he is doing (even if you root against him) you are not a boxing fan.
He is also a modern great and will be considered one of the best of all time when he retires, get used to it.
1. People don't hate Pacquiao, they love Mayweather or the fighters that Pacquiao has destroyed in the past. That translates into hatred. BUt, it's much more about who they like.
2. Around here, people hate the fans of the man, as opposed to just worrying about the man. At times, it can be hard to separate the two, but it's needed to be a reasonable poster.
Wow, just finished watching Pacquiaos greatest hits and I have to say, how can anyone call themselves a boxing fan and hate on Pacquiao..
What a career this man has had...
3x Morales
2x Barerra
2x Marquez
Dela Hoya
Hatton
Cotto
Clottey
and now Margarito..
Love him or hate him, this man has had an incredible career..
Ain't this the self same arguement that you could make for Mayweather and his career? A controversial personality, but one of the most talented and skillwise top 5 of all times?
The hate started after he beat ODLH, before that it was only some Mexican fans.
You can really see it before the Cotto fight. I guess popularity and success brings out the worst in people. If you root against him or whatever that's understandable, but the venom out there on message boards was hard to believe.
I'm just gonna come out and say it, for whatever reason I get the impression that many African American boxing fans despise Pac. This is a by-product of the boxing fanbase with the ethnic tension, but it surprised me because I never thought that this segment would be as blind and crazy as the Mexicans/Ricans/Fillipino's etc can be and its magnified 10x worse because Pac is everything that is right about boxing. The difference between the *******s and the Floyd supporters is that while the *******s might be naive and ****** they support a fighter who loves to fight unlike the other who has gone MIA (except the Shane fight) since 2007.

But with Mayweather, their are a number of "Why didnt he fight him" or "Why did he retire", or "Why is he fighting him instead of".....
The difference between Pac and May..
May decides who he fights, he is his own boss....
Pac fights whoever Bob puts him in with...
But yes, Mayweather is a skilled fighter no doubt about that but Floyd still leaves a number of those questions above IMO..
