thats closer to the reality. making a bold statement that either brother beat any HW of any era leaves many questions. i think they would be competitive during any time, but the HW landscape the Kilts have dominated hasnt been impressive. as unfortunate as that is, they seem to be getting better with age, and both Wlad and Vitali should be mentioned along with the best of the division no matter what.

was a good fight, but i remember thinking one more round and Vitali is losing his eye forever! he should be glad they stopped it when they did.FAO: the ****** JoeyZagz
Lewis got brutally KTFO by Rahman
Wlad easily destroyed Rahman
Wlad completely dominated and KO'd Prime Jameel McCline (who KO'd Michael Grant in the 1st round) Wlad's win over Prime McCline SHITS ALL OVER Lewis's win over Grant.
Like I said before, Lewis was badly hurt several times and was out on his feet against Briggs. 40 year old Vitali completely dominated every second of every round and destroyed Briggs.
Vitali Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis
THE TRUTH
Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.
Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight.
punches landed
Vitali 156
Lewis 102
Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.
All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.
Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.
Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.
Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.
Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"
Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"
Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.
Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.Comment

Looks like Briggs got hit in the head too much and is makling him say ****** things.
Big George and Lennox are better than Vitali. I really like Vitali too.Comment

Lewis admitted he was only around 70% and not motivated for that Briggs fight and he still KO'd him early and brutally, and that was a prime Briggs. Look what an old under par Lewis did to a prime Vitalli's face. If the fight had continued Vitali would've been knocked out with possibly permanent injuries.
Not taking anything away from Vitali though he did well and his chin withstood a huge uppercut in that fight, he was also extremely brave to wanna carry on despite risking his eyesight. That's why I can't agree with anyone who calls him Quitali after that Chris Byrd fight.Comment

Common sense tells you the cut on Vitalis face was unfortunate and cant be used to say how more better LL is than Vitali. If it went to 12 rounds and Vitali was badly cut, the judges dont score the fight on how badly cut you are , and hold it against you! Vitali would have won on the judges scoresheet.
I remember LL versus Bruno and i always remember how Bruno was outclassing LL before tiring. It showed me LL limitations becase bruno of all people outjabbing LL. Someone as ponderous as frank.
But im a brit and should be sticking up for LL. I dont know why i havent warmed to LL. He was a nice guy but for some reason i never wanted him to win and i feel guilty about that.Comment

LL should have given Vitali a rematch. LL said he only had 11 days to train for vitali. LL should have shown how badly he would outclass Vitali if he was to prepare properly, and he didnt.
Of all the times he could have retired in his career, afte Vitali probably wasnt the ideal time, with unfinished business.Comment
