I think what really got Briggs was Vitalis deceptively fast hands and his timing. Briggs isnt a top dog, but hes still an athletic veteran with big time power and he took a severe beating every minute of the fight. I dont understand why people cant just appreciate these fighters and always have to look for a way to discredit them. That goes the same for people claiming they are the greatest ever we cant blame them for their competition, but neither can we declare them the greatest without an accurate measuring stick.

People shouldnt use Vitali against Briggs and LL against Briggs as any indicator.

We only want to know what would have happened if Vitali didnt get cut. Becuase LL could have hit anybody like he hit Vitali and they wouldnt have got cut. So it was just unfortunate the cut ruined a potential 12 round fight for me and everyone so we wouldnt be having this discussion now. If LL fought Vitali a second time and hit Vitali a lot, he might not even neccesarily ever get cut again. It probably was just one punch that messed his face up and it was against the grain of his skin or something.

Ali beat Henry cooper on cuts, but i think even if Ali didnt cut Cooper, he would have got a unanimous decision or knocked him out maybe even. So that isnt as big as deal as the vitali cut.
