Sanders chose to fight Vitali and then retired soon afterwards. You can't blame Wlad for that. Wlad has improved dramatically since then, under Steward's tutelage. He fights tall now, and he didn't then. Sanders wouldn't get past his jab if the current version of Wlad were to fight him in his prime in a fantasy fight.

Pac hasn't avenged his losses, but who cares? It's hypocritical to hold that against Wlad while not doing the same in the case of Pac.

Vitali is almost 40, he is older than Briggs you moron.

Either Klitschko beats any HW from any era.

      The truth hurts.

I don't see how they would possibly beat Tyson, Liston, Frazier, Liston and Ali. I don't think they would beat Lennox either.....and prob not Bowe. I would ptrob back Marciano to beat them aswell.

If you really think they haven't improved then you either haven't watched them or you don't know boxing.

In an interview right before the Vitali fight, Lewis said "I'm at the peak of my powers" He also said he wanted to keep fighting for a few more years.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

Love Mike...but lets be serious.....the fight took place almost a decade after Tyson had anythign to offer apart from his name.

No one is claiming that beating Briggs gives him GOAT status.

The idiots who think he is the GOAT already thought that before he fought Briggs. And even they don't claim Briggs was a wonderful opponent, just that he couldn't find a better opponent at the time, due to the number of contenders who are saying they aren't ready (such as Adamek, Solis and Povetkin) or who are outright ducking (Haye, Valuev).

Tyson never fought a really tall Heavyweight who was also athletic and had skills remotely on the level of either Klitschko - apart from Lewis. And he didn't always look good against the tall fighters (other than Lewis) whom he did fight. He was never able to hit Bonecrusher Smith or Tony Tucker with a really clean shot, and both found it easy to tie him up. Douglas destroyed him, although admittedly he was under-trained and unfocussed, but still, it's obvious from his record that a really tall fighter who knows how to fight tall and who is athletic and has a really good jab, would be a stylistic nightmare for Tyson.

And if that counts against him it counts equally against Pac.

And no one who knows boxing would seriously think that the current Steward-tutored version of Wlad isn't much better than Sanders ever was.

These guys had combined record of 150(100 KO) - 5 at the time they faced Vitaly and yet he completely destroyed every one of them. Name me any champion in history that had 5 consecutive defenses against opponents with that kind of record.
