Rochigianni pulled out of their January 2000 meeting, after disappearing for weeks, to the point where trainer Emmanuel Steward had no idea where he was. Anything else?
So if Rocco did as you claim, how did he win a monster lawsuit against the WBC and get a multimillion dollar settlement from them? That sure sounds like a very generous award to someone who supposedly pulled out and disappeared.

He got it because he deserved it. The belt should've never been stripped from him in the first place. But that's what the lawsuit was for, not Jones ducking him or Nunn. Which is false. And yeah, it was quite a reward but that's life. Rochigianni had serious alcohol issues then. It happens to many.

Well we've gotten past where Roy refused to fight Michael Nunn. Jones always talked about fighting big heavyweights like Lewis, Klitschko, Douglas, and Corrie Sanders. But he never did, and it was just a ruse to avoid Nunn who had a difficult style and was entitled to more money than Roy liked. He wasn't interested in fighting the Roccogianni-Nunn fight until the winner wasn't Nunn.

That's all I have to say about this in this thread. Have a good evening.

Why are people still jumping on Roy? No one on here even talks about the guy anymore. Give his career a rest.

He would have been stripped of his title if he didn't fight Frazier.
