What about Tarver 3 and G.Johnson?
What about it? Did he fight scared? Sure. So did Shane Mosley against Vernon Forrest the second time.

Jones has a tough fight with Griffin - gives an immediate rematch

Has a tough fight with Tarver - gives an immediate rematch

Gets KTFO in back to back fights, takes a year off and jumps RIGHT back in the ring against Tarver. And we're criticizing him for fighting scared.

Yeah, with standards like that it's no wonder Jones gets a bad rap . If only guys like Oscar, Calzaghe, Pac and Floyd were so bold.

Eubank did make him a offer in 96, but Jones turned him down saying you are no good to me now you have lost to Collins twice

The reason Benn took the McClellan fight was because he was promised a shot at Jones from King. Jones says that he couldnt fight Benn because King wanted options.

Toney admits himself that the winner of Jones-Toney supposed to fight the winner of Benn-McClellan. For the record I think Benn would of prefered to fight Jones over Toney. Sky was hoping the last fight on his contract would be against Toney, but Eubank was in no real rush to fight him either,

Eubank was offered a fight by HBO and turned it down. And...?

No, he offered Benn a fight and King wanted options. Let's try and rephrase better here. Why didn't Benn tell his promoter to just get him the fight? Hate in ya blood, cuz-o

All of these guys you mentioned expressed reservation about fighting Jones. And Toney was in the 168lb division before he fought Jones so they could've easily fought. Unless King wanted options there too.

True, but his hands were kind of tied with that one. Think of the public backlash if he didnt

What was the point of jumping back in the ring with Tarver, he wasnt there to win?

When did he tell you he wasn't there to win? He was coming on strong in the latter rounds before he got wobbled. And even then he was coming forward and trying for the KO. So uhh...just no!

That's not true(I hope you are not talking about the Brannon talk)
Eubank called out Roy around 1996

Eubank:Jones didnt want to fight me
Before Eubank met Collins, there was speculation about multi-million pound fights against his former rival, Nigel Benn, and the current sensation of American boxing, Roy Jones, but since losing to Collins both those lucrative avenues dried up.
"Eubank is no good to me because he has now lost twice," said Jones recently.

Benn wouldnt sign with King until early 1994. As I said before Toney said himself that the winner of Benn-McClellan supposed to fight the winner of Toney-Jones.

None of what you're saying changes anything. What is your point?

That Jones fought the best opponent at 168 and they didn't? Well, you're right.

That their efforts to get Jones in the ring were feeble at best? (ie. call out on TV). Well, you're right.

I got that impression when Jones spent rounds poking out his tongue and laughing to himself while the cowd was booing

How many rounds did you give him in tarver III?

What fights did they get gifts and refused to give rematches. Mayweather clearly got a gift against Castillo, but gave a rematch. Calzaghe beat Hopkins fair and square- so he didnt have to give old bhop a rematch
