That dude could've been a heavyweight. And I remember watching him fight (before the Johnson bout) and thinking, good Lord would Roy be in trouble if this guy lands one of his powershots

Absolutely man, dude was huge! I think Roy would have beat him though. But, it was just cool to root for a guy that I personally knew and actually spent time with.

Made it up? So why did the WBC have Nunn fight for a vacant title after Roy declined to defend it? This is history, not some conspiracy theory that doesn't fit in with your myopic view of Roy Jones.

Because Jones vacated it to move up to HW? I guess you could look at it that way - or assume he was ducking Nunn. Even though Jones returned to LHW and agreed to fight the winner of Rochigianni-Nunn? Relax, Scott.

Roy's only fight at heavyweight was five years later. You can't take seriously all the people he claimed he was going to fight and never actually did. What he did was get Nunn out of the way, then was handed back the title he forfeited. I'm relaxed, thank you. And Roy Jones really did duck Michael Nunn.

Jones was scheduled to make his HW debut against James "Buster" Douglas in the summer of 1998. A fight he should've taken. When he pulled out, he returned to LHW and agreed to fight the winner of Nunn-Rochigianni. Rochigianni won. Jones signed to fight him. Rochigianni pulled out of their January 2000 meeting, after disappearing for weeks, to the point where trainer Emmanuel Steward had no idea where he was. Anything else?

far too many haters in here bashing on great fighters.

Joe louis is considered by many people to be an all-time great. Yet he had the bum of the month club that helped build his title defense record.

If Louis were fighting today he would be deemed overrated, over protected and a bum by the fools on this site.

Jones was great, Louis was great. The haters suck.........Rockin'
