Shane is a great fighter, no doubt about it, hes a future HOF, no doubt about it, but i can see your argument. I felt he lost in De La Hoya 2, didnt look impressive against Mayorga and alot of times didnt step up to the occasion, If he could make adjustments and adapt better he could have possibly had a chance at beating everyone hes lost too, he just doesnt have the skills and mainly ability to adjust.

I still think Shane is a very good fighter today, i don't think hes shot. He looked terrible against Mora, but Shane always looks terrible with people with movement and counterpunchers, if he were to fight someone who comes straight at him i think he can still look impressive. he looked way worse against Winky Wright than he did against Mora, then again, Mora isnt Winky Wright, but my point is, Shane never looks good against that kind of fighter, i still think he has 2 impressive fights left.

I agree, he should stay away from 154, 147 is his weight and i still think he could beat the likes of a Andre Berto.

He didn't just beat Oscar once he beat him twice and Oscar was still at his prime back then now there are questions about some of Oscar de la Hoya wins but he still i's one of the best and mostly i's a great great fighter he was never ko he never gave up still at 39 doing his thing he really doesn't have alot left but he i's better than all these other guys that are 39 and still fighting the times he lost where when he moved up to take a fighjt with Vernon and winky Floyd i's a great great boxer no shame in losing to him so I think he i's a hof boxer IMO and dude you saying that it's just borderline i's ridiculous he always brought someone a fight

theres nothing borderline about shane mosely. he has a great career. save a few bad losses to wright and forrest, what would be the blemish on his record? (well besides the steroids).

The only welter to do so? Oscar stopped Rivera in 8. And Whitaker put him on his ass twice in their rematch. both long before Shane did it.

What i like about Shane, is that there is no side to the way he goes about his business, sure he could of strategically picked more suitable opponents, and would probably be seen as a better fighter, but thats what doing stuff like that is worth, it just gives people a false perception of how good you actually are/were, least with Mosley you cant claim he cultivated his reputation by favourable style fighting match ups, he did quite the opposite infact, I respect that, particularly in a sport where styles often dictate the outcome of fights, plus, if you keep stepping in the ring with the very best fighters, eventually you will come up short.

Shane's career is a true reflection of how good he was, cant say the same for Mayweather, yet he is perceived to be better cause his resume is not as checkered? i think we know the reason for that, Mosley fought elite prime fighters, bigger guys in some instances, guys who would of given Mayweather himself, plenty of stylistic issues, unfortunately for Shane however, that is how fans roll, they would rather see an undefeated guy cause he is undefeated, albeit picking favourable match ups.

Shane has only lost to great fighters. He was a very good boxer and will be remembered mainly for his 2 fights with Oscar De La Hoya. However the fact that he could have taken steroids his whole career (As Floyd says we just don't know) is a big blemish on his record.

However. I do think he is great. Not great as in "a special fighter" but definetly one of the best in his era. Right now he's second only to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
