He struggled with guys like Sergio Mora and Raul Marquez. And his resume reads like a who's who of fighters who were good but turned out to be gate keepers at some point.
Borderline great? He who beat your ATG's, Margarito (who couldn't win a single round and had to be SAVED by the ref) and beating bigger delajoha X2. So if Mosley is borderline (as you claim) What does that make Tony and hoja?????

In his prime none of that really mattered because he was such a speed demon.
Agree, his jab is shocking for a former elite level fighter, the way he puts it out there at times, says "counter me", he pushes it, there is no snap on it what so ever.

A few things you should consider. Mora, a taller longer and very defensive guy showed up to the fight. It was almost mission impossible to look good.

Mosley has the physical and mental ability to surprise everybody again, but not against a defensive Mora.

Its really hard to tell where Mosley is after Sat. I hope to see him against a welter that comes to fight soon.

Shane Mosley is not an ATG, he just not.

But, he is and should be a sure fire first ballot HOF'er.

No Margarito has never been KO'd nor beat by an ATG. Granted he hasn't faced any. Pac would be the first.

However, he did get KTFO by a sure fire HOF'er?

                  What is your point?

Ive always seen Mosley as more of a great fighter than a great Boxer, infact i never understood the name Sugar, I know it fits aptly with Shane, but aside from that, he was never a cute or cultured type of Boxer, he was however gifted physically, in terms of strength, power, chin, speed.

What i like about Shane, is that there is no side to the way he goes about his business, sure he could of strategically picked more suitable opponents, and would probably be seen as a better fighter, but thats what doing stuff like that is worth, it just gives people a false perception of how good you actually are/were, least with Mosley you cant claim he cultivated his reputation by favourable style fighting match ups, he did quite the opposite infact, I respect that, particularly in a sport where styles often dictate the outcome of fights, plus, if you keep stepping in the ring with the very best fighters, eventually you will come up short.

Shane's career is a true reflection of how good he was, cant say the same for Mayweather, yet he is perceived to be better cause his resume is not as checkered? i think we know the reason for that, Mosley fought elite prime fighters, bigger guys in some instances, guys who would of given Mayweather himself, plenty of stylistic issues, unfortunately for Shane however, that is how fans roll, they would rather see an undefeated guy cause he is undefeated, albeit picking favourable match ups.

I'm back and forth with Mosley. At one time I thought he was overrated, then he demolished Margarito. If you take into consideration how easily he beat Collazo when Hatton and Berto really struggled. And how he fought Cotto close. His last WW run has helped his legacy to me.
