I don't think you can consider wins via g'n'p to be the same as wins via a KO from a standing position. Even if that wasn't the case, Toney is unlikely to g'n'p (attempting to enter Couture's guard would be an incredibly risky and ****** tactic) so the results that others have achieved by going that route say nothing/very little about how Couture will do against Toney.

I want JT to win, but people have to be realistic. He has about as much chance as Briggs vs Vitali I'd say.

I dont think anyone is suggesting that a 45+ year old fat Mercer is a good mma fighter, just that it was a shock and embarressing when he KOed Sylvia faster than the best fighter in all of MMA could take him out.

MMA fans like to pretend like Sylvia is ****, when in reality he was actually beating Antonio Nog up one sidedly before getting submitted just 2 fights before the Mercer fight, and has gone on to win 3 more times, including beating Buenetello and (ha) Pudzianowski.

he was top ten at HW in MMA at the time, thats for sure.

regardless, that doesnt mean anything along the lines of boxing vs mma. In reality, there is no boxing vs mma, or bjj vs wrestling or any of those matchups.

Its fighter vs fighter under a specific group of rules, and thats all that matters or is decided at the end.
