No offence but I have sparred with a firend who does martial arts. Punches, of coruse I'm good, but he started doing **** with his legs and I didn;t have a clue what to do.

In boxing, you don't look at feet too much, but that is a abd thing VS MAA guy.

If it was someone like David Haye who is fast, has legs and reflexes and pretty strong, then yes, but Toney hasn't actually looked great for a while.

Couture is old, but he's pretty much still a good fighter and this is his game.

If Toney wins, I'll be happy but surprised.

Kimbo won one ***ing fight against a guy who hadn't fought in then UFC for 3 years and had no ground game himself. He lost the other 2 so no Kimbo didn't dominate anything.

Couture is like Hopkins: he took care of himself all these years, and its paying off now that he can still do the basics and for the most part still compete with the top guys.
Couture has recently only lost to top ten ranked mma guys.

meanwhile Toney is a middleweight who has spent the last four years pigging out and having mediocre performances, and has been losing to journeymen like Danny Betchelder and Fres Oquendo.

Lesnar gave him a hellish beating if Randy dont get Toney to the ground it could be lights out.

Ive also sparred friends that do mma, and something that people overlook a lot of the time is how vulnerable a person is when theyre kicking. kicks can definitely hurt...but theyre much slower and leave you WAY more off balance than punches.(after all, youre only on one leg). While a lot of people trained in boxing freeze when kicks come because theyre totally unfamiliar with them, the smart thing to do is actually scoot foward and punch. moving forward somewhat negates the (leg) kick because the angle is messed up, and the punch will likely land since the guy is on one leg. even if its blocked, the punch will probably still send them to the ground because their balance is so messed up.
