This was close. Taylor won the fist half of the fight, Hopkins won the second half.
As soon as the action heated up and they stated to trade, Hopkins took over. He's the champ and wasn't put on his ass.
IMO winning the second half of the fight means more than winning the first the first half.
    I had it a draw.

Taylor won, i don't disagree i feel a draw was the better call but what are you gonna do once you put it in the judges hands. Point being, like predicted, it was a VERY close fight (and an awesome one)

ey homie, are you ready fo this?

the only people who were robbed were the people that paid to watch hopkins fight for 3 rounds

And landing 1 decent punch a round doesnt win rounds

great champions fight for 12 rounds not just walk about for 9 rounds and fight for 3

i only read the first few pages of this, but it looks like way too many people take lederman's scorecard literally... usually the drones. I had it 114-114.

Well dont talk unless you saw the fight. Yes he did land on taylor but at no point in the fight did he ALMOST knock him the **** out. Taylor won five of the first six. And anyone who saw the fight knows that. So dont come on here only listening to the guys that favored hopkins at let them tell you how it went.
Yes i do feel the outcome might be different the next time but as for now it is what it is. Taylor won. So would everyone just stop the whole "Well he'll beat him in the rematch" and for once give the credit where credit is due. Enough with the whole he would have one if, bull****. Just admit it, goddamn. Taylor won, so ****in deal with it.

Props be to taylor for his performance against Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins. He did what no other man could do in the last 12 years. He beat Hopkins. No matter how he did it.

A big reason playing into Taylor losing those last rounds is experience. Now he's been in a big fight and will be a completely different fighter in a rematch. Taylor by UD in a rematch. He'll pace himself much better in the early rounds, as most fighters do after they gain big fight experience. Its pretty much common sense.

I think it was DEFINATELY a close fight
Not a robbery, NOT a clear win....

you can score a fight in various different categories...
                      Who is more busy?
                      Who landed cleaner shots?
                      Who landed MORE punches?
                      Who did the most damage?
Who won the championship rounds? (i'm sorry for all of you who think that a round is a round but it's not true when it comes to scoring i.e. Oscar De La Hoya's loss to Tito for losing all the championship rounds)
Definately you also have to consider who has the belt.. I'm a firm believer that the challenger has to TAKE the belt from the Champion in a decisive manner...

It's definately true that Hopkins got OUT-WORKED during the earlier part of the fight, but alot of those rounds could of went either way... I dont think the busier fighter is necessarily the better fighter... what about a good solid evasive defense and clean shots... better technical boxing?? ... with that in mind...

I thought it was definately a DRAW

I thought Hopkins got more damage and hurt Jermain in the later rounds but lost so many in the early going that he didnt deserve a win either... I dont know how the firken judge could give the last round to Jermain Taylor when clearly the look on his face was not that of a champion...

I'm looking forward to the rematch and perhaps Jermain can solidify his championship with a convincing win.
