Pacman's defense is to hit you so hard you won't think about hitting him back. Other than that he usually just blocks and slightly above avg defense.

And don't forget to add "and so many times."

Cuz he's at least 5X faster than him. Speed kills and Margaritto's style is to come forward chin high in the air just asking to get KTFO by pacman. It should be a spectacular KO.

Pac's D isn't the greatest but's better than most think. Some people bring up the Clottey fight and fail to realize, Pac's entire mindset was offensive with Clottey hardly throwing so Pac wasn't expecting much in return so he wasn't prepared for it. If you watch against like Hatton, he was slipping punches with subtle head movements. But yes, he isn't that hard to hit if you dare to throw a punch at him.

Plus Marg has been a notoriously slow starter, which will clash poorly with Pacmans aggressive activity to start fights. Marg is all about wearing fighters down with his consistent output over 12 rounds. He won't have that option against Pac.

90 percent of the shots Clottey landed on Pac were when Pac stood in front of him and was begging for him to exchange punches.

Pac has some good defense, and if he gets in the mindset to stick and move, he can be very hard to hit.

Am I the only one who remember Pacquiao looking like he just got jumped after the Clottey fight?

His defense is not good, average or solid. Its awful.

Nobody is saying that pac isn't one of the best to lace em up. But he's no Winky, or Swea Pea, fighters known for their defensive prowess. But pac really doesn't have to be when he's too fast for almost every opponnent out there.

pacs defsene is a joke jmm already proved that so did morales. of course he is going to look good with his offese when he is fighting taylor made oppents with no jab. margs may be slow but he has a jab, pac is not going look steller against someone with a jab.

The problem is getting him to slow down. I watched the second Marquez fight again the other day and one thing that stands out if you watch it is that Pacquiao was not moving his head at all for notable stretches. Marquez had confused him enough to slow him down and force him to think. And even then, Manny was still a bolt of lightening. The two keys to beating Pacquiao is to make him respect your power and your brain.
