Mayweather is the truth. Comparing him to Berto is like comparing steak to spam. However Hatton was in no way top WW competition, unless you think clearly beating a WW gatekeeper makes you an elite welterweight. Oh wait!

At least Hatton did it clearly though.

Both blown up tune ups meant to make the natural WWs look good. Only difference is Berto didn't look good.

1)I never considered Hatton to be any good.

            2) Oscar was a part time fighter, most time promoter and totally inactive. His ranking was a product of his status as a name more than any real merit.

            3) Mosley was 38. Nuff said.

            I'm not buying it.

The Corrales fight was the same thing as fighting a blown up Urango. Guess who looked better.

I will reserve my verdict on berto when he actually fights an elite fighter.
First of all.. don't even TRY to compare Urango a 140lb champ at the time fighting at 147... to ****ing Diego Corrales at 147lbs.

              I mean........ really?

Berto's holding has only come against southpaw fighters which he has trouble looking good against as most fighters do. He's fought 3 southpaws in a row now.

You can wait for the verdict on Berto if you want, but the verdict on Clottey is already done... son.

The kid thinks because he's jogging forward with his hands up he's scoring.

              News flash! He isn't.

When the going gets tough... the will to lay it on the line and trade blows just doesn't exist for him.

Even if he WAS in a dog fight with Collazo, he showed heart and the will to not lose. He gave everything he had to win that fight, and if you watch the 12th round, 30 more seconds and Luis would have been out of there. Something I have RARELY EVER seen from Clottey.

I'd like to see what Clottey would of done against that version of Collazo.. He would of been outpointed easily.

Thats easy to say isn't it. He couldn't be easily outpointed by fighters like Margarito and Cotto, but since Berto had a fight that could have went either way with a gatekeeper that gatekeeper would have "easily" outpointed Clottey when the only fighter to ever do so was Manny Pacquiao, a guy who would have Berto spending the night in a hospital bed after a few rounds, even if Berto would shell up like Clottey or run like Cotto at the same time.

Forget Collazo, lets throw in a shot to **** Quintana, Julio, and Ishe Smith to all beat him. Since Pacquiao did it easily and Margarito had to break the all time punches thrown record to beat him anyone should be able to.

                  This is laughable Bully.... laughable.

Corrales got knocked out by Castillo at 135... he fought ONCE the next year and got beat by Joel at 140, and moved up again! and got beat by Clottey.

His prime was about 17 pounds BELOW welterweight.

He had 3 different weight classes in 3 different fights and lost them all.

And that's the same as fighting a 140lb champ with one loss moving up to 147?

That's because Berto would get knocked out fighting his ass off, instead of folding like a lawn chair.

Urango just got knocked silly by an elite fighter, in urangos favored weight class. Sad to see a supposed elite WW unable to dent a blown up jr WW who just got murked.
