Taylor actually fought real fighters and got some good wins.

Berto wouldn't last in the talent pool Taylor was swimming in.

So let me get this straight I don't want to jump to conclusions so i'll clarify... your comparing Mayweather career of work to Berto's career thus far and your saying mayweather is not a legit fighter? hmmmmm

I'll take the guy who has had razor thin decision losses over elites before I take the guy who has unispiring wins over washed up lgithweights and razor thin wins over gatekeepers.
I'll take the guy who will fight his ass off to not lose a close fight he's in, then someone who is content with losing.

          Split in Cottos favor... STILL.

Like you said, bscene is an excellent gauge from hardcore boxing fans.

          Unanimously Cotto won.

          Just like Berto will.

Yes because Berto has fought great fighters. Clottey could have a lunch break and still be able to win based on round by round scoring.

It doesn't matter... he shows balls when he's in a close fight to not lose. Berto does whatever he is capable of doing to win the fight.

              Does Clottey? **** no.

              He never does.

He never Puts it all on the line to win the fight.

I don't give a **** if he's fought better fighters than Berto... all that it has proven is even though he has the technical skills, he lacks the balls to lay it all on the line to win the fight.

He can't do it, he won't do it. He refuses to do what it takes to win important fights.

No way no how am I picking him to win.

If it's 5 rounds to 5, you're gonna pick Clottey to UP the tempo and win the championship rounds?

              gtfo.

No, I'm comparing the marketing work of HBO to project these guys as better than they really are.

Mayweather hasn't had a real fight since 2002, yet somehow he's selling ppv's against old, small, shot and faded fighters.

You think the public enjoys seeing mismatches and dull fights? Or do you think HBO is so good at polishing turds that people are suckered into buying fights they wouldn't normally buy?

Slick propaganda has prevailed my friend.

Lets see where bertos balls are when he faces a top fighter first. Also I doubt any fighter who makes it to the top lacks balls, they can lack drive determination, not care, fight only for money ect. if a person lacked balls I doubt they wouldbe able to get in a ring and fight professionally let alone make it to the top of the ranks.

I also think it wouldn't be 5 rounds to 5 coming into the championship rounds.

                  Gtfo.

Cotto won the fight... because when Clottey needed to win tthe important championship rounds... he chased Cotto around with a smile on his face as Cotto put his work in.

He didn't win the rounds he needed to win, to win the fight... as **** usual.

People need to learn how to score.. I've seen the fight 6 times and am about to watch AGAIN thanks to this thread. How cotto got more than 5 rounds is beyond me, honestly. Some Winky/Taylor and Winky/Vargas ****.
