This is a triumph of HBO's clout in the sport and its marketing muscle. Andre Berto is a mirage of a real fighter, who much like HBO has done with Mayweather, convinced a segment of the fight public that these guys are legit fighters.

So let me get this straight I don't want to jump to conclusions so i'll clarify... your comparing Mayweather career of work to Berto's career thus far and your saying mayweather is not a legit fighter? hmmmmm

No way in hell did Clottey lose clearly. that's like saying Berto beat Collazo clearly. Its a matter of opinion, but thats what it is, an opinion. You can agree or disagree with mine. I think Clottey beat Cotto and would favor him over Berto, since the Cotto of 2009 was an elite fighter.

I'll take the guy who has had razor thin decision losses over elites before I take the guy who has unispiring wins over washed up lgithweights and razor thin wins over gatekeepers.

No, I'm comparing the marketing work of HBO to project these guys as better than they really are.

Also I doubt any fighter who makes it to the top lacks balls, they can lack drive determination, not care, fight only for money ect. if a person lacked balls I doubt they wouldbe able to get in a ring and fight professionally let alone make it to the top of the ranks.

Cotto won the fight... because when Clottey needed to win tthe important championship rounds... he chased Cotto around with a smile on his face as Cotto put his work in.

He didn't win the rounds he needed to win, to win the fight... as **** usual.

People need to learn how to score.. I've seen the fight 6 times and am about to watch AGAIN thanks to this thread. How cotto got more than 5 rounds is beyond me, honestly. Some Winky/Taylor and Winky/Vargas ****.
