Well, first of all.. of course Margarito is ok with it.

Margarito would be ok with a 143lb catchweight if it meant he would get a huge payday and a shot at Pac.

It doesn't mean that's what he would prefer.

I gaurantee you if Arum said would you like 150, or 154 to fight Pac?

He would definitely take the limit of 154lbs, just because of his natural size.


Same with Cotto... I am sure he would of rather had the convenience of being able to defend his OWN championship title at the weight class limit.

But, 10 million dollars can be quite persuasive.


And again... if YOU want to fight WITHIN the JR MW limit.. then go ahead!

Just don't MAKE your opponent weigh the same. If the division has a maximum weight limit, then they should be able to weigh that if they so choose.

Who wouldn't for that kind of pay day? What everyone's trying to point out is that imposing a catch weight is only for Pacquiao's advantage, trying to get the belt, especially underneath the weight limit is ridiculous.

then margirito should come in at 154. the problem is they want to fight at a weight class for a title but handicap the other guy by putting extra restrictions on him. if you want to fight for JMW JWW title then you fight at the 154 max.

Margarito is 5'11 he is a giant compare to Pacquiao.. remember how Pacquiao wanted to fight Margarito we all think "no way.. this fight isn't happening.. Margarito is too big"? Pacquiao is requesting to fight in a catch weight and now everyone seems to against it.. I mean c'mon the fight should not been taken place to begin with.. and you thought ODLH was bad.. but thats the ****ing point about going up weight. you fight guys bigger than you but its the challenge of fighting at a higher weight to test yourself not fight a bigger guy but handicap him it defeats the purpose. damn some of you are ****ing idiots
