But, that wasn't Nchristo point. I also mention this. If there is a SHW division is created then merge the CW and HW together. Have a limit of what? 225? 230? And, if that happens cruiserweights would not be outweigh by 60-100 pounds. Maybe 50-60 pounds but not 60-100 like you mentioned.

However, that would leave a garbage ass division at SHW which I don't want to see.
That is the point really and why the HW division wouldn't be diminished at all because no one wants to see unskilled giants like Valuev and overweight HWs.

I've read many times how Tyson, Frazier and co would **** the Klitschkos, if you believe that, then why would you want a SHW division? Eventually a good small HW will emerge than can dethrone them, right? So there would be no need for a SHW division.
I don't see any Frazier's or Tyson's on the horizon. I do think Frazier could beat both fighters. Tyson would of beaten Wlad but Vitaly I am not so sure of.

But, again the idea even though I don't like it means nothing to the HW's of the past. Since really no smallish HW's right now could carry Tyson nor Frazier jock strap.

        Exactly.....

The Heavyweight Division would still be the more prestigious weight class.

it really has nothing to do with that more than the fact that people who naturally around 220-230 feel they have to blow up to 250-260 just to compete in the heavyweight division.

thus diminishing the quality of fighters.

would you be against extending the CW division to say 220?

Perhaps they should rename cruiserweight "heavyweight" and call heavyweight "super heavyweight".

The boxing media (HBO, ESPN, Showtime, etc) should give the 200 pound division more attention, then smaller HWs like Chambers, S. Ibragimov, Grano, Rudenko, Adamek etc would be making great fights at that weight.

There's lots of talented cruiserweights, but many of them have bellies and fight at HW.

If you believe that, then you should believe that there shouldn't be a SHW division. Statistic dictates that good small HWs have to emerge eventually.

                    exactly the way i feel.

some of these "heavyweights" have no need to be blowing up but there is nothing for them in CW

I for one think that Heavyweight would still be the more prestigious it would just take the guys who are lazy and dont want to work out and the guys who are just plain huge and ship them to SHW.
It would be some what diminished because there is stronger men that aren't fighting in what has been the stronger / heaviest weight class for 100+ years, it would take away the prestige of being the strongest boxer and it would be given to as you said "guys who are lazier and don't want to work out".
Guess that prestige was already tarnished when they added more meaningless belts though.

Obvious weight changes would have to be made, maybe cut off the HW Div at 225-230 and move LHW to 180 -185. Give or take a few lbs to each.
