I think the deciding factor is Manny's timing which I feel is superior to Shane's, but again this is just my opinion on things.
Which weight would that be? 135 or 147 or both?

Now imagine that being a prime Oscar, Pacquiao would have gotten a bad tattooing. I mean Pacquiao was outboxed by a stationary counter puncher in Marquez. Now imagine a prime Oscar's hand speed, combination punching added in with his superb footwork. How does Pacquiao deal with that?

Alot of people like to say that Oscar didn't have a right hand. Let me say this, the only (Keyword: Only) thing Oscar's right hand lacked was power. Other then that, he was real accurate with that punch. Stylistically Oscar would be all wrong for him.
Did Cotto win any of those rounds that Pac looked average in? Like Daggum said is Oscar going to fight the way he fought Tito in the last 4 rounds? If so Pac wins easy since Oscar won't do **** just like how Cotto didn't do anything in those rounds.

And, just overall technique and purely skill and I am talking about overall JMM>Oscar.

IMO those are two bad comparisons.

Honestly I can't see why you would use the late rounds of the Cotto vs Pacquiao fight as a gauge. Not to flame, but it was clear as night and day that Manny felt sorry for Miguel and took it easy on him. I really stop judging that fight after the second knockdown. I saw everything after that as Manny displaying mercy on a guy he liked and came to respect.

As far as the Marquez fight, Manny did not get out boxed in the second fight. You can make a case for the first one, but how can you say a person is outbox, when everyone who saw that fight says it was a close fight (regardless of who they felt won) that came down to a round or two difference in either guys favor.

Again this version of Manny that has been dominated the WW division beats any version of Oscar, but hey this is just my opinion.

          fight wasn't even close...

Floyd was countering the **** out of Oscar with some precise shots. Oscar wasn't even landing most of his punches. His jab was great though, and you could tell it was disrupting Floyd's rhytm slightly, but Floyd was still outboxing Oscar. I wonder what fight people watch when they said Oscar beat Floyd. I think his dad just said that because of the tension that was prevalent in their relationship at the time. Floyd is a genious in the ring, and not many could beat him. People say Castillo beat him the first time, and while the fight was close Floyd came back in the rematch to epitomize his dominance in the sport of boxing, by out boxing Castillo. Floyd is one of the best who ever laced them up, and you posters need to start giving the man his props. Not many can beat him, and not many will beat him. Few will challenge him, and none will succeed, as long as the man is on top of his game. He is a complete beast, and he employs his bestiality physically as well as mentally inside of the ring.

Prime De La Hoya could barely beat an old Pernell, lost to Mosley, embarassed by Quartey, F this thread, prime oscar would be an underdog vs Floyd just like a prime Pacquiao is.

Floyd called out a prime Oscar, or sort of prime after he beat Bruseles he called out Mosley, Tszyu, and De La Hoya in the post fight interview he wanted to go up to 147 to fight them and he wanted Tszyu at 140 but they all called him a nobody and rejected him. Mosley wanted 10mill, Tszyu had to get Hatton out of the way, DLH said as long as Mayweather is with Arum he's not fighting him. Floyd then fought Gatti and finally got DLH 2 years later. It wasn't Mayweather fault that DLH finally gave him the fight when he was "past prime".

We could have sort of seen this match up if only DLH fought Mayweather in 2005 when he wasn't past prime yet.

I honestly can't see how anyone can use the latter rounds of the Cotto fight against Manny. I have never seen that type of mercy shown on a fighter and it almost seemed like Manny felt sorry for Miguel in the latter part of that fight. When he looked at the ref, and also the part where he just stopped in the center of the ring while miguel ran for no reason had to be the most embarrassed I have ever felt for a fighter.
