the poster is not the idiot. do u exactly know how much they spend? if not then let us all assume. if it is financially successful or not.

and if you are pointing who is the idiot, then it is schaefer. yes shaefer is more than an idiot saying that.

1.4 million is a huge, huge success no matter how you want to spin it.
advertising cost for this fight is big. They went all out here. I'm not spinning anything. Every business has a projected outcome if it falls short It's bad biz. In this case not even half of 4million ppv means it's a flap.

there was the superbowl promo.. man he was exposed to 100 million people at least and no doubt, besides that there's boxing journalist who find it newsworthy to print him

the hugeee mega hype because of the failed negotiation and drug accusation

the constant PAC NAME DROPPING.. LOL this was a tactice to constantly seek casual fans who were interested in pacquiao because hes "IT" in boxing

        his 24/7

        etc

        yup..

that's more exposure than 99.99999999999% of boxers and boxer elites in any weight class

this is why shaefer theorize it could make 4 million

        FAIL!

3-4 m PPV was a sales pitch by Schaefer.

You don't just shoot out a number like that. They project it with some facts including past performances, who is fighting, promotions.

I remember Oscar (Golden Boys) stating that if you buy this or that product (example: Black & Decker equipment), you will get your PPV tickets for free and some heavily discounted .....

so that must have boosted up those PPV sales!!!

Youre aware the outside of Tyson's heyday and Mayweather-DLH, Mayweather-Mosely is the best selling boxing PPV EVER right (if the 1.45 number is final).

              Ever.

The only place you will ever hear about 1.5million PPVs for May-Mosely being a flop is here on a boxing forum. You didn't hear that on FNFs or Boxingscene's news feed, because anyone with the slightest business sense knows it was a great success.

end thread, or live in denial.

why not??....it seems like a very smart thing to do to generate interest in the fight.

Irregardless i do not understand the logic of the TS and everyone else arguing with him. Does anyone here think Pac vs Floyd will do 4 million PPV buys?? What about 3 million?? I have my doubts as to whether Pac vs Floyd will even break the record set by ODLH and Mayweather.

                    Did they make a profit?

                    How big was the profit?

You answer those and you answer your own questions.

Promotions and heavy advertising is free!!!!!

So Golden boy spent nothing to promote the Mayweather fight so its obvious that Mayweather/Mosley made more money than Pac/Clottey and Pac/Cotto where promotions and advertising was practically nill....

                      Mayweather is the greatest!!!!
