transformers 2 has taught us you don't need a quality product to get good numbers just good marketing. floyd demanding more money than pacquiao is like megan fox demanding more money than robert deniro cause she was in a movie that grossed more than his. sorry toots you were just a product of a snazzy marketing campaign just like mayweather. deniro is the real deal and can generate enough money without prancing around like a fairy in a gladiator costume.

I call the Mayweather/Mosley fight as the greatest PPV flop of all time considering the minimal return they got versus the amount they spent to promote the fight.

I won't be surprise if GBP didn't make any profit out of the fight. lol

so the real question should be "did richard schaefer succeed in what he predicted?" the answer is a no...but if you think that these people are true dunces with no analytical business savvy...then go right ahead and assume that they all thought they would see 4 million buys and proceeded to bank on that number...
I'll spell it out for you, nobody expected 4million but I'm sure Richard was expecting it to go over 1.5 million minimum. In my point of view anything less is a business epic failure.

Let me see a list of 1 and 2.

If these guys open up their books you will see that every year expenses go up and for the Mosley vs Floyd they promoted it heavily. They also had their PED testing cost.....

Since it's available on the net, just look at costs of movies. There are movies that run with a budget of over $200 million where previously a movie did great if it made that amount of revenue. So the projection will be much higher than that. So naturally if you come below or close to the budget it will be a disappointment EVEN THOUGH IT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF MONEY.

You expect 4 but you get 1, you must be somewhat disappointed.

So promoting the fight cost more then what they made off PPV buys, the Live Gate and Sponsorship deals?

don't get mad, it's the truth and I'm pretty sure GBP lost a significant amount of money promoting the fight. lolol

is 1.4M even the half of 4M target? if they expect that big and didnt even meet half of it, meaning what they expect is a failure. it is like ur expecting 4M people to watch u fight when only 1.4M are interested.

ill ask u again is 1.4 half of 4?

if u dont get it. know ur math, open ur eyes, then stfu.

dont tell me if it is successful because no one knows how much they spend in promoting the fight, but tell me (again) if they even meet the half of their targets (it didnt even meet 3M)and quit telling us about hyping thing as the excuse.
