    Reasonable post.

Ricky Hatton is at Jr Welter weight fighter. That was his optimum weight and the lineal and undefeated champion at that weight...

      Let me exaggerate a bit...

Calderon at 108 or Calderon at 112 ?
Morales at 122 or Morales at 126 ?
Duran at 135 or Duran above 135?

      See it now?
Please don't leave out the FACT that Hatton wasn't "ready" to fight Mayweather at 140 pounds. His team stated that much. When he was "ready", Mayweather was the champ at 147. So why would Floyd go BACK down to 140 to fight a guy that wasn't "ready" for him at that weight? So Ricky moved up, because he had been there before AND he WANTED to fight for Mayweather's belt at 147. His trainer said the weight wasn't a problem, but they struggled with Collazo at 147 BECAUSE they didn't prepare correctly.

Again, Hatton at 140 wasn't "ready" for Mayweather. Refute that bro. But why are you dudes crying that Hatton had to go UP in weight to fight Floyd? I mean, heck, Hatton MADE Manny come UP in weight to fight him. Why no complaints about that?

Pacman fought Hatton in his own weight division which was 140. Floyd fought him at 147. So in my opinion it was Pac.

Don't post if u have nothing good to say..this is a good proof of the ignorance of a paccy hugger..there is a video where roach said that shane was too good of a fighter..but if u need to twist things around just to make a point ..do that.

Alot of people kicked and screamed for the Hatton fight. And when it came off, I don't remember many people complaining about Ricky Fatton having to come UP to fight the top fighter in the sport AT THAT TIME. Some people thought Ricky would knock Floyd out. Then, Floyd knocks out Hatton, then they cry about Hatton having to come up 7 pounds. SMH.

All those are considered and i agree that it's not Floyd's fault it happened at 140.

But we cant deny the reality that almost all of Hattons arsenal are nullified at 147 because clearly he's not even a big Jr Welterweight to begin with.

My point is. its not a foregone conclusion that Floyd's version is the better hatton version because he beat him first. Its very clear that Hatton is so much dangerous at 140.

If totality of betterness because going to the fight undefeated - Floyd
If totality of betterness because of his invincibility at 140 - Pacquiao
What does 'If totality of betterness" mean? He also wasn't invincible at 140. Anyway, of course Floyd beat the better version. Hatton was also a lot more up for that fight than any other since Tszyu. I don't think Hatton had the fire for Pac and paid a big price.

Floyd easily beat the better version but Pac looked better.

Again, when Mayweather was in the same weight class as Hatton, Hatton was reportedly "not ready" for Mayweather. These are the facts. Don't overlook them. I give them BOTH credit for their respective wins. But to say that Pac fought the better version of Hatton, when Floyd had humiliated and knocked out AN UNDEFEATED Hatton and took ALOT of his confidence away in their fight, is FUNNY and I think I'll leave this thread alone now.
