Second, being dehydrated works in two ways. When a fighter has been able to rehydrate but killed himself trying to make weight he is almost always strong early before fading. De La Hoya never even got a chance to rehydrate (IVs in the dressing room?), which is why he was faded from the get-go. Just stop, man. This is ridiculous. Morales begged for a catchweight. And had ALREADY moved up prior to the fight. You think he did that for fun? Give me a break.
I knew you are goin to react that way (with my Coralles statement). Thats why I edited my last post. But Coralles did have problems making weight. He was moving up to 135 but chose to fight Floyd at 130 because HBO offered a 10 Million contract (which Floyd called a slave contract) to the winner of that fight. I guess you don't like taking credit away from Floyd's win but you do it with Pac in an instant.. But it's cool. I gave Floyd the credit even if you cant give it to Pac.

Morales had problems making weight, I already agreed with you on that one. You dont have to bring up the catchweight. I already knew about that..But he rehydrated just fine and was very strong at fight night.. To say that he was dehydrated diminishes Pac's win like there was a reason why Morales got caught with an uppercut which change the complexion of the 2nd fight. Its just goddamn sad..

Having problems making weight and killing yourself to make it are two different things. Again, Morales had already moved out of 130. Why did he do that? How can you compare that to Corrales, who remained at 130 and did so through JAIL, came home, and returned RIGHT TO 130. you're delusional and I'm done with this debate. LOL @ you being afraid to admit that Morales was a weight drained fighter. No worries...just ask Freddie Roach.

Roach says a lot of stuff that would place him in the front page of a boxing website. A lot of times you find his statements absurd. Believing him based on that is being inconsistent. If you can believe his statement about Morales being weak and dehydrated at fight night, then you should also agree with his statements about the PED issue.

And just to let you know, Corrales spent hours at a sauna tryin to make weight. A fighter merely tryin to make weight doesnt do that at the day of the weigh in. But I give Floyd full credit because Coralles did rehydrate himself and was around 19 lbs above 130 at fight night.

This is just ******.....yall know damn well that morales was a shell of himself in every single fight he had with manny. The 1st fight he just got whooped by mab. 2nd fight, he just got whooped by raheem. 3rd fight, he couldn't even finish 3 rds. This is hilarious!

I can go on but that's what Floyd has to show for since 2005. Total discredit according the logic put forth in this thread.

This was based on the fact Morales was clearly winning and giving it to Manny and not until the BIG round by Manny did Morales look that way! It wasn't that Morales got tired or was weak all of a sudden because of energy problems it was because Manny hit him flush many times and it affected his legs. Morales was still able to punch but it affected his legs ONLY!!! That is usually an indication that its from being hit flush and Morales was hit many times during that round and the next round.

I was going for Morales but I saw this but some people are looking at it backwards. Wobbly legs, so he was shot. No! He was shot because Manny hit him with many punches flush on the chin.

Did Morales have a weight problem? Possibly and I wished they fought at 132lbs but Manny was the winner at 130 that night but Morales won too at 130 when Manny didn't have his gloves. Floyd fans will duel on the weight, Pac fans on the gloves.

Both (Pac & Floyd fans) have a case but to discredit the Morales fight(s) is going too far, if you ask me.

Discrediting would be to say that Morales was wack. But you can't argue facts. And the facts are:

                      1. Morales was past his prime

                      2. Morales was weight drained

                      3. Morales was coming off an embarassing, shocking defeat.

Again...take from that what you will.
