I still would like to know from the critics. What better ways are there to stop illegal immigration?

It's easy to criticize but why don't you propose a solution.

if you go to a restaurant and criticize a chef does he say why don't you go and cook and create your own dish???
well the so called critics aren't US Government officials with the relevant education/background.
you only have to look at countries like Australia, Japan and others to realize AZ law isn't the best.

The thing is, most people who are against Arizona law, are for illegal immigration or misinformed. Even Cotto's comments sould like he thinks the laws are to persecute legal immigrants, not to help curb illegal immigration.

Some "Americans" always get ruffled up and offended when Puertoricans have an opinion of their own, and they always say the same ****** ****. The US is never letting go of this little piece of land big guy, too many people paying 24.99 %+ interest rates to supporters of big lobby groups for Congress to have any say on the matter, or really care either.

How many times has a big chain store sold its greatest numbers in PR, once upon a time Porsche sold the most cars by square mile in PR, kids signing up to be soldiers left and right etc etc... get real, this is far more complicated a relationship than some people fathom.

My advise to Cotto stay away from the political talk.

People against this law aren't going through the problems that Arizona is having with illegal imigration. Personally I don't see anything wrong with this law if you're not an illegal then there's nothing for anyone to be worrying about.

I'm PR and for the law for a simple reason, we aren't having a problem with Canadiens, Asians, Blacks, Middle-Eastern, French or any other race invading our borders illegally from Mexico. Just the same as we aren't having whites, blacks, or hispanics trying to hijack and bomb planes. Sorry, but racial profiling is needed, period. I'm not saying there aren't other people trying to bomb planes or get into our country but the vast majority are middle-eastern and mexicans. Also, if you get pulled over aren't you supposed to provide proof to a cop already via your drivers license? WTF is the problem with them asking for the same thing if you are an illegal. They just want to know whats goin on with you and make sure they don't have a rapist, killer, kidnapper, armed robber or some other type of criminal on their hands.

The problem isn't even the illegals who are against it, obviously they want to stay here so they are going to be against **** like this. Its the U.S. fault its such an issue because they let it go on for so long that it simply became naturally to go to the US illegally with really no worry about being sent back. Its like letting a child get whatever they want from the store, then one day simply saying you can't get that toy unless you do chores. The kid grew up for so long getting what they wanted its going to be 10x's as hard trying to reverse their thinking, same situation here. Still the fact is you are an ILLEGAL immigrant, you broke the law period and you should be punished accordingly.

Again being an illegal is breaking the rules.

Cotto, the former World Boxing Organization welterweight champion, was outspoken Tuesday against Arizona's law, which makes it a crime to not carry immigration documents, while allowing police to question anyone suspected of being in the country illegally.

"You can't treat immigrants, people who move the economy of this country, like that," Cotto said. "They are human beings. They are here legal, but you can't treat them the way people from Arizona want to treat them."

Cotto, who hails from Puerto Rico, was at Modell's in Times Square to promote his new "I Fight for the Flag" shirt as part of Everlast's "What Do You Fight For?" campaign.

Arizona's new immigration law has been the subject of much discussion in the past month with regard to human rights. Numerous groups have protested the law, saying it can lead to racial profiling and poor treatment of **********. President Barack ***** is opposed to the law, too.

The World Boxing Council announced that it will not schedule bouts for any Mexican fighters in Arizona, calling the law "shameful, inhumane and discriminatory."

"(The law's) going to be trouble," Cotto said when asked about the law possibly presenting problems with boxers not fighting in Arizona. "People get mad to get there because people from there, the cops, the government from there, aren't going to treat them like they need to be treated."

Cotto will fight undefeated World Boxing Association junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman on Saturday night in the first fight at the new Yankee Stadium. Cotto, 29, said it will be an honor to be at the Stadium and be a part of its history.

"When I talk about my flag, I'm proud of my people from Puerto Rico," Cotto said. "I feel pretty proud to be Puerto Rican and for me to represent them for example next Saturday and make them feel proud and happy when I get the victory over Yuri Foreman."
Arizona people are mostly racists even their Christians there are racists.I know that first hand
