Originally posted by UnderbossWhy is he worried about this immigration law? it doesn't affect Puerto Ricans since they're naturally American citizens.
I feel this is just a marketing tactic, just like what Shakira did..if they say anything in support of this law their fans will stop supporting them, and they don't want that.
It's all marketing.Originally posted by TheMagicMan View PostThe U.S. has tried to give Puerto Rico away. They let them vote to secede anytime they want. PR brings in no money for the federal government. It costs more money. Also its not disagreeing its him talking about how he's puerto rican and doing it for puerto rico and for their flag. You dont hear Floyd talking about how hes doing it for Michigan.
So you can make a piece of land yours with documents but you cannot take the pride and identity of a people.

What kind of idiot uses "Mexico" as an example of having a good immigration law. My family is from there and I have much love for my Mexican people but even I know that Mexico is never a country you wanna use as an example when discussing any kind of law.
Seriously what kind of dumbass uses a lawless country to justify their stance on an immigration law here.

Maybe Mexicans shouldnt have killed Davie Crockett, when are they going to apologize for that? Murdering a U.S. senator? Seriously every race/creed has had bad things happen to them, reading comprehension is your friend. The point is I dont want to hear abotu how immigration should be easy, because it never has been for anyone in this country. It has always been hard, it should be hard, people should work to get in here not sneak across the border at night with drugs, murdering ranchers who see them. What about the Japanese who were interned in WWII? Or the blacks who were enslaved. Or the Italians who have been profiled since the FBI crackdown on the mob etc....Do you know what the RICO laws are. They were specifically designed to target Italian Americans. Its a crime for some citizens to even meet with eachother because of them...Nothing unconstitutional here at all, immigration is always hard, and every other country on earth requires documentation and its already a federal law.
How is the RICO Act targeting Italian-Americans? To my understanding if you are a member of an enterprise, and they charge that enterprise you can be prosecuted as well. How is that targeting Italian-Americans?

Alos I served in the military for 5 years with the 4th Brigade 101st Abn Div. I went to Iraq and Afghanistan already I'm going to college full time now. Got to take advantage of this sweet GI Bill and get a degree. I suggest you do the same.
People here are totally reading what im saying wrong.. I do agree that illegal immigration is WRONG! you should take the proper steps to be legal.. But at the same time I dont agree that law enforcemnent should be able to go up to whoever they want because they have a "suspision" that someone is illegal without a "proper reason" Like seriously.. what is a proper reason to to ask someone if they are legal? just your hunch?

Every race and ethnicity have gone through hardships so is it wrong to be empathetic towards them? No. As far as Mexicans during the Great Depression Era they were illegally driven out of the U.S. and into Mexico. More than 60% were U.S. Citizens. You don't think that's a big deal? Just because you looked Mexican you were picked up and sent away.
