Dawson might be looking too far.First he should concentrate on Pascal.
Will it be another USA fighter to go down after,Taylor, Jones and Pavlik?

I'd take Dawson over everyone at 168. That really sucks for Chad that this is what he has to do to get fights worth anything. Dude needs to find a way to make himself more appealing.

Dawson is not a draw. No way the Showtime winner fights Dawson before fighting Bute.

Knocking out Pascal would be huge for Chad. People think he's feather fisted, but he's really not. They point to no KOs recently but forget he's fought nothing but Tarver and Glenn Johnson, two of the best chins in boxing.

Last 2 opponents not named Tarver or Johnson = TKO 4 and TKO 6.

He has the power to KO Pascal and I'm hoping he does.

Dawson is basically a king without a kingdom at this point, and he's starting to get desperate. He's established himself as the top guy in his division. he's established himself as a P4P elite. And he finds himself in a position where there's absolutely no one that matter to fight. That said, he needs to remain patient. Pavlik is talking a move to light heavy. Bute has no one to fight at super middle. Calzage is probably gonna comeback to fight B-Hop. So there are some options that are gonna present themselves to him. He just needs to continue to dominate his division. He's got this fight with Pascal. If Cloud beats Johnson, there's another appealing fight. He just needs to hold his water. He's still young. Its no need to try and force the issue at this point.

Cant blame him, who is there to fight at 175?? I like tavoris cloud but they seem 2 not be able 2 agree on a fight. At 168, he has more opitions.

Dawson would be making a mistake by going down to 168. He was 191 on fight night the last time I saw him in the ring. He'd have to kill himself to get down. Just not worth it. Ward is a LHW anyway and will be killing himself to make weight as this tourney comes to a close.

I find it interesting to see all you Dawson fans think that Chad will pass through Pascal like it would be just a walk in the park. Remember that Pascal resisted to bombs thrown by Froch and Diaconu and if i remember Dawson went to the floor with Adamek with what look like a ordinary straigh right punch. Pascal speed is very comparable to Dawson's, i think it's going to be a hard fight for both and chin as well as stamina in the end will be the deciding factor. UD for Pascal if not a TKO near the middle of the bout.

Dawson is my second favorite fighter and I see it as a big task for Dawson to beat Pascal decisively. Pascal is very athletic and has decent pop and his heart definitely cannot be questioned. He's very unpredictable with his offense and the angles he will be providing will be a stern test for Dawson. I see Dawson setting the pace and outsmarting Pascal, though. Dawson is the superior boxer in this match and I see a UD.

Chad Dawson is the most skillful fighter IMO from 154+. If he was heavyweight size he's school the klitschko's. And I think he's better then all the rest too. Floyd Mayweather is the only guy around that weight that is better skill wise IMO. Chad is beautifully skilled in the ring. Although not very exciting minus the first Johnson fight which I thought he barely won. Glenn's a gamer though, no shame in that.
Agree with you 100%....most underrated fighter right now. Pascal will lose to Dawson and assuming Cloud beat Johnson he also gets whooped.
