  • Comments Thread For: Chad Dawson Still Willing To Drop Down To 168-Pounds

IBO light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (29-0, 17KOs) is still willing to drop down to 168-pounds to fight some of the big names in the super middleweight division. The light heavyweight division is running a little dry and most of the big names are veterans who are past their best. [Click Here To Read More]

Honestly I'd rather see him not wait til the end of the tournament, drop down and get in a tune-up fight at that weight before moving on to Pavlik, Bute and then the Super Six winner.

He's right, 175 is going to be pretty much done with after Dawson most likely beats Pascal. I mean Tavoris Cloud hasn't really done much lately... I'm not too sure he even gets past Glenn Johnson at this point. I heard that Cloud has been having problems with his promoter I think... Cloud has shown talent but who knows where his career is heading...

Wow, possibly the best all around fighter in the world has to weight drain himself down to 168 because he will die of starvation fighting at 175 after Pascal and Cloud get their boxing lesson......sad really

(EDIT: THE 9TH LAYER)^ Not really a tune up but school Bute. Chad beats them all IMO. A great way to build his legacy. Take care of Pascal, Cloud, and all of the super 6 and then we'll have a freakin elite fighter out of him.

Chad Dawson is the most skillful fighter IMO from 154+. If he was heavyweight size he's school the klitschko's. And I think he's better then all the rest too. Floyd Mayweather is the only guy around that weight that is better skill wise IMO. Chad is beautifully skilled in the ring. Although not very exciting minus the first Johnson fight which I thought he barely won. Glenn's a gamer though, no shame in that.

By the time Cloud fights Johnson it will be about a year since his last fight against Woods... Ridiculous when fighters fight once a year. I don't know I believe in his case its something promoter related but he is wasting his career away with that ****.

I don't even think his fight with Pascal is set in stone.

He said it wasn't finalized in the last video he did for the site, and this article says Pascal is the target opponent.

What if that fight doesn't happen? He'd have wasted an entire year....

Dawson vs. Ward would be awesome.
