I'd rather see Dawson fight Cloud than Bute if Cloud gets past Johnson like I said before, but at the same time Bute would look like a ***** if he turned down Dawson's offer to fight him after fighting a guy coming up in weight and coming off a loss.

I don't see Bute moving up but I just figured it was a nice idea for someone who may not want to wait around for a big payday. Cloud should get by Johnson, setting up a nice date with Dawson in the winter or next spring.

So Dawson is probably around 183-184 lbs on fight night. That's not a lot after rehydrating, which tells he could make 168.

AND, don't forget Dawson was a supermiddleweight not that long ago, he moved up to 175 in 2006, started his career in 2002, he was even fighting at 160 in 2005, so there is not a single doubt in my mind, Dawson can comfortably make 168.

You'll see, he will have to do it, can't fight in an empty division.
So Dawson was fighting at 160 in 2005, and that proves he could make 168 today? And fighting at 168 4 years ago means he could comfortably make it today?

So Pac fighting at 130 in 2008 means he could comfortably make 130 today and easily make 135, right?

Hell Adamek was fighting at 175 in 2007, but I don't think anyone in their right mind thinks he still makes it today.

So a weight drained Dawson dominates Bute? Like he dominated a 39 year old Johnson in the first fight?

            Mmkay.

Nope. What proves he could make 168 is that he isn't heavy on fight night right now AND that he is willing to go down. He is not ****** enough to kill himself to make weight just to face better names. He would rather move up if it were the case, not move down.

You brought Bute and Johnson out of nowhere. Irrelevant.

I would be seriously surprised if Dawson could make 168 comfortably.

The guy is seriously filled out at light heavyweight.

I don't think Dawson will ever fight Cloud. If he had any desire to, he would bank on him beating Johnson and then fighting him for supremacy. But he never even utters the guy's name. I gotta admit I don't like that especially when the Cloud-Johnson fight and Dawson's fight with Pascal is only one week apart. It will get people familiar with who's at the top of 175. I also think the Cloud-Johnson fight should be a main event and not Alexander's fight with Kotelnik. Because it's a better fight on paper.

i don't like this move. chad is a fool if he does this. he needs to fight cloud, and wait on the guys at 168 to move up. he needs to try and unify.

Dawson didn't want to fight Cloud because Cloud holds the IBF belt. If Dawson were to fight Cloud and beat him he would have to fight Glen Johnson for a third time.

If Glen Johsnon wasn't the IBF mandatory, yeah you would be seeing Dawson vs Cloud right now instead of Dawson vs Pascal.
