I can do the same for the KKK and say its what all americans believe or sein finn (I think thats how you spell it) and say all irish are like that. Your generalising and you need to learn your history.

Khan would definately be a bigger name aswell as have a bigger following if he were white. You cannot mention former black british boxers and say, 'here you go, black boxers who we loved.. we're not racist', because they were from a different era.

Post 9/11 is the key event in this scenario.

Some people comments have certainly proven Hard Boiled's words.

The KKK are an irrelevant group of white ( that's a race, not a RELIGION ) racist from the south during the 1920-1960's. There is hardly any of them left.

The radical ******s are probably 10-20 million strong in europe and routinely march in the streets preaching hatred.

Like it has been said, The "British" really need to get thier house in order. Manny is oriental boxer and in the US is a superstar, In UK he would only be appreciated in a chinese take-out.

Also reading some of the responses of people here from Britian it only proves what Khan has said all along: "If I was white British fighter, Id be a superstar"
This really is garbage. Khan is very popular more so than Froch. Partly because he has a huge British Asian following and a following of giggly teenage girls. He has a niche following that would not normally be into boxing. With white boxers you will only tend to get the following of fight fans and they like fighters not media creations. If you had a white fighter promoted like Khan, protected like Khan I doubt he would be as popular as Khan.Financially being Asian has worked for him not against him.
The bst British boxers from the past tend to be black guys like Michael Watson, Benn and Eubank. They were very popular more so than their white contemparies.

The KKK were a religious group: they were specifically Protestant. They are still going and have rallies and have been on TV recently. In fact they are growing since ***** was elected according to wiki:

Glenn Beck won't be helping marching about in his **** uniform on his latest book either.

To say there are 10-20 million radical ******s in europe routinely preaching hatred is pretty ignorant. I have seen these guys and we give them abuse at our mosques.

Then because they withdraw to the net when we try to clean up our mosques we have groups going around saying Islam is fascism in Europe. Banning Islamic dress in Europe and this is causing friction.

I'm amongst those who don't want these people to grow and we are in the majority in the ****** community but idiots marching around saying No More Mosques and Ban The Burkha in our neighbourhoods are not helping.

******s are busy kicking the *******s out of their community and we are beiong attacked by more esxtremists who want to wipe us all out.

                Who do we listen to?

Our common sense says do whats right.

The extremists are ****ing with our religon **** them. **** the Taliban.

The extremists want to ban our mosques and dress, **** them. **** the ****s.

++ Khan is well liked by the boxing scribes I know in England, at least... if he just keeps winning as he's currently doing, all will work out for him... the money, the fame, the adulation shall be his, more and more so!

So my question to the British is if Amir Khan was white would you like him more?

That being said I know that Britian is a very divided country, There is no such thing as "British", You are either English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, or a derogatory term for anything else. Perhaps the problem the UK faces is that they have been unable to define a national identity. For instance in the US there are Italian-Americans, ***ish-Americans, Arab-Americans, African-Americans, Latino-Americans....But are all still Americans.

Just look at history of Britains colonialism, slavery etc and how institutionalized racism and white extremism(bnp) is still in society and the answer is easier than 2+2. But there are also very good people who are FAR from prejudiced. USA, even through all the bad things in the past, is definitely further ahead
