It would have been a pretty penny, but Lewis was set for life after the Tyson fight (he had a % of the PPV there on top of his purse) and he made a lot of money in the Holyfield fights.

I think he knew he didn't have it in him anymore, and the money didn't matter.
shut up he was being offered 39 plus million u got something to say about everything, Lewises momma said no thas why he didint come back...

i don't see why some people are saying the true outcome of the fight isn't known because of the stoppage. the true outcome is known, lewis won by tko because he messed up klitschko's face, SO THAT IS A LEGITIMATE OUTCOME.

Not taking sides here but if Lewis knew he wa threw which is what you think then would it be safe to say that you would lean toward VK in a rematch?

Leo, shut up, Lewis can retire whenever he wants. He has build his legacy, something Klitshcko hasnt doned! He didnt beat Lewis.A fighter picks and choose when he will retire, Lewis didnt have his heart in the ring.Again, Vitali fans like yourself or Lewis haters will put a spin on it!

I think 'if' Lewis had felt he could commit himself 100% to training and conditioning for the fight, and 'if' he his age
wouldn't factor in, I'd favor him to win in a rematch.

But that's really a moot point now.

I don't get why people still argue over this. The facts are...

                Lewis won, Klitschko lost.

It was a good legit win and a good stoppage.

Vitali showed a lot of heart but his face looked like hamburger.

All Klitschko fanatics can come up with is "what ifs" and "buts".

Klit fanatics try to belittle Lennox by calling him a coward for retiring when he has the right to retire whenever the **** he wants.

Lennox is/was 10 times the fighter that Klitschko was and would have blown him off the map in his glory days.

I don't get what issues you can argue, it was a pretty decisive fight. Leading on the cards by 2 rounds means nothing if the fight has only gone 6 rounds.

The fight was stopped and what I mean by a true outcome is the following..

                  1) Yes Lenox caused several cuts which got him the TKO. Not taking it away from the champ.
                  2) Vitaly was winning the fight on the score cards. That means very little as I, and probably everyone else, did not see this fight go to the decision. But both had a puncher's chance. VK wanted to go on and continue the fight, LL looked dead tired and could have lost the fight if wasn't for the stoppage.

But yes, he won, so why do we keep talking about it?

It doesn't mean 'very little', it means NOTHING.

The scoring of a fight that only goes 6 rounds when the end result is a TKO is MEANINGLESS.

After that, you go on with the 'Ifs' again.

IF Vitali's face hadn't been punched into a bloody pulp rendring him the loser via TKO, a lot of things MIGHT have happened.

Why is this still being discussed? Because there are obvioulsy a lot of nut huggers who have remaining delusions about the fight. Yourself included.

Also the fact that Vitaly is nothing close compared to Lenox has nothing to do with the fans...

Each basketball, baseball, football, and any other sports team, or athlete has/have their own fans.. so what, just because their team isn't the best it should have no fan base?

RJJ still has fans besides his two losses, and they are still saying thet RJJ is the best.
Same with Tito, Tyson, Toney etc...

WTF, I didn't know that being a Klitchko fan is a crime.
BTW, I'm more of a Vlad fan than Vitaly.. yes that same Vlad that has a glass jaw.. and for as long as he fights, I'll always be his fan, win or loose does not matter because that's what all fans do!
