People act like hamed was this 126 pound version of floyd mayweather jr. he's not. Floyd at least was skilled up with proper boxing technique. Hamed wasnt.


Hamed was basically just like pacquiao. They werent technically gifted but they both relied on their athleticism, power, & speed The only difference is pac relied on his incredible will power, chin, & aggression while hamed relied on his relfexes. other than those differences they were basically the same.

The thing that separates both is that pac took on elite opposition while hamed took on bums & a couple of good fighters then when he stepped up to elite level completely got dominated.

Dont talk as if hamed was this technical master at 126. He wasnt. Pacquiao was a physically superior fighter compared to hamed & his aggression & will power would snuff hamed.

I agree with everythiing except the fact that Hamed had the better chin and also was a bigger puncher and KO power in both hands. In a brawl, which is what this would have been, that version of Pac gets knocked out.

Awesome post man. Definitely agree with the 1st and 4th paragraphs.

Mayweather is arguably the most skilled fighter ever. Pac fans save your hate, but it's true. Floyd has mastered the art of counter punching, and not getting hit. Naseem is no Floyd Mayweather but he gets talked about as if he has a similar style and that's not the case.

He was 1 dimensional and the main difference between him and Floyd is that Floyd has the best defense in history and Naz had none.

I get what you are saying. Listen, Im a huge fan of Manny, but that Manny back at 126 was always off balance because of poor footwork and positioning. Hamed was the same way, but the difference is Hamed had KO power in both hands and could knock people out cold even when he was off balance. To engage Hamed was pure suicide and with the way Manny was always off balance after throwing his left hand, he would have gotten stopped by Hamed.

I mean just go look at the Hussein fight and Nedal had him on ***** street and even dropped him with his left hook. That was Naseem's money punch and Pac had no defense for it back then.

This version of Pac crushes him, but not the one at 126.

There are too many other variables, and Manny doesn't have a weak chin.

Fighter A ducked all elite competition. He fought one great fighter and lost 11 rounds then retired.

Fighter B fought the toughest competition out there, all ATG's, and destroyed them all in spectacular fashion, including the guy who beat Fighter A for 11 rounds.

Listen I understand that. Im just saying that due to Pac always being off balance after throwing his left hand, he was open to left hooks. I brought up the hussein fight because that is what Nedal was catching him with and hurting him.

I love Manny but he was not even close (at 126) to the fighter he is now. Manny is a machine and this generations best fighter, but the things that make him great...he really didn't possess back then.

Please, you have to explain this to me. I'm dying to know why you think the Manny that fought tougher competition at 126 than he's fought in the past 3-4 years gets KO'd by a guy like Hamed.

You haven't backed up anything you've said. Manny made mistakes here and there in the ring, but he was still the greatest fighter at 126 at the time.
