also remember boxing was so dry at the time.. and the only major ppv that was had was pac-hatton and a big ppv coming up.. people had money to spend.
Pac vs nobody=700k/ May vs Nobody=1mil... Enough said

Answer Post # 38 man...
As for this post, I have never once said Pacquiao is on any sort of drugs he is my one of favourite fighters and I honestly believe whatever he has done is with honesty and hard work.
I have never once said Floyd wants to "Clean up" the sport or whatever but I have said taking the random tests is good for the sport not because Floyd initiated the process, but in general its a good thing for the sport and how could you guys be against it? You seem mad because its Floyds name, if it was some other fighter who wanted to have random blood tests for the sports I would appreciate it too, and I know so would you, but since its Floyd you dont want too, but thats cool.Comment

cotto is a bigger draw than mosley, however a mosley/mayweather fight has been talked about for years, and they are both americans, that is the hige selling point of this fight. floyd is the best at selling a fight cause he does ***** like this, not fighting a guy for 5 + years so now that he does it is huge. but if manny and floyd fight it needs to be at 50/50. and we could always look at the fact that what would happen if floyd fought clottey, no way it breaks more than 1 mil ppv's and no way he sells more than 30 k seats, no way. how many fans were cheering for floyd in vegas, his hometown against JMM, practically none. floyd is very smart with the business of boxing, he is not a bigger draw than manny but he makes it appear as if he is, he picks the smartest fights in the history of boxing, in terms of making money. in my opinion floy/mosley should do 1.5 mil ppv's. and if it does that i still think the fight against manny should be 50/50 or it just wont happen. So it should be right because Floyd said it?...Okay then Floyd also said that Shane Mosley is not a PPV Attraction...So does that mean Floyd is a huge draw if Mayweather vs Mosley does more buys than Mayweather vs Marquez did? Oh I guess your just picking and choosing...Never mind.
Freddie Roach said Cotto is a bigger draw than Mosley, so if Mayweather-Mosley does more than Pacquiao vs Cotto no further questions need to be asked in the future

Marquez was well known through Pacquiao's fights by the time Floyd fought him.
As Clottey will be after his fight with Pacquiao.
Think a bit there kiddo.Comment

Ok so you're comparing a guy who has been on ppvs before and another who has never been on a ppv? A fight that had a 24/7 compared to a fight that didn't? One guy being hyped up in the 24/7 because he gave Pacquiao problems compared to no hype at all for Clottey?Comment

can *****s get more ******ed than this post? possibly. pac-jmm was the highest lower weight ppv at over 400k. i remember back then, mexicans and *****s alike always say that jmm was the ppv star in that fight. now he's a nobody? lol how things could change oh so quickly.
there was a reason that floyd-jmm was rescheduled to be on a mexican holiday. and your ***** idol even said the whole of mexico is behind jmm, how can you not stand by his words now? ****in ******s.Comment

But you still can't compare Clottey to JMM because JMM was a name in the sport and had a bigger following than Clottey has ever had. Putting into the equation that they promoted the hell out of that fight (Mayweather vs JMM) by putting it in theaters, giving discounts on the PPV, etc in comparison to how Pacquiao vs Clottey was promoted, it's Night and Day. You think there were NO Mexicans in attendance at the May vs JMM fight? How many Clottey (or Ghana natives) fans do you think attended the Pacquiao fight or much less ordered the fight on PPV in comparison to Pacquiao fans and people who generally love to see Pac fight? All the coverage that was given for Pac vs Clottey was presented in a way where it was a sure shot for Pacquiao to win. With JMM vs Mayweather, though most Boxing fans gave JMM a very slim chance, they sold the fight on the merit that JMM had fought Pacquiao closely twice (being that at that moment he's considered the #1 fighter) and that Floyd was making his return after an 18 month layoff. There was a story to sell as opposed to paying solely to see 1 fighter.Answer Post # 38 man...
