When Floyd signed to fight JMM, Margarito was not active, had his licensed revoked and JMM was coming off a FOTY win. Margarito was not popular anymore he was a disgraced why is this even a debate?

Canelo is a star in Mexico I agree, I mentioned that already. But, he was not a star to Mexican/American fans. He was just not. Nobody in the U.S saw the man fight. But, they did see JMM since he had headline a PPV before and been the main HBO plenty of times. JMM was more popular by the Mexican fans in the US then Alvarez was/is.

If you don't believe me then please just look at the PPV numbers below 135 and compare it to PPV numbers above 135.
