Juan Manuel Marquez Rematch - 400,000
    Erik Morales 3rd Match - 360,000
Marco Antonio Barrera Rematch - 350,000
    Mexican, Mexican, and Mexican.

How much did Manny sell without Mexicans?

Are you telling me that Floyd could not do the same against 3 of the most popular Mexican fighters in their era?

SHOW ME PROOF MANNY SOLD WITHOUT MEXICANS!

Manny was already a big star when he fought Cotto.

I'm talking about the past before he became a star.

Well yeah, it takes a while to become a huge star.

Not true Margarito was not active in boxing he had his license revoked at the time. He was actually looked as disagrace not popular in a good way.

I mentioned Alvarez but lets be honest he was not popular by US Mexicans. Only in Mexico. Nobody in the U.S have really seen a fight of Alvarez

When JMM drank his piss it made him a house hold name, non boxing shows were talking about that ****. When he did that he became the most popular Mexican. Plus people knew his as the one who gave Pac hell...

Pac didn't do good numbers without Mexicans. Maybe that is because a lot of Mexicans by PPVs to watch their countrymen fight.

That is why Pac-JMM did 400k without a 24/7, and also considering they were small guys the casual fans don't care about the lower weights. Matter of fact what is the highest PPV numbers at 135 and below?

Pac-Morales all three fights put together did a mili buys. That is an average of over 300k. Again this is before Oscar. And, against a Morales who everybody felt was washed up. But, it proves my point that you put a top Mexican fighter in there and people will watch and the Mexicans fans will pay to watch. Again what is the record for PPV numbers at 135 and below?

Here's a side by side comparison of Pacquiao and Mayweather before and after De la Hoya made them more famous.

Mayweather's Highest PPV before De la Hoya:

              Zab Judah - 374,000
              Arturo Gatti - 365,000
              Carlos Baldomir - 325,000

              TOTAL : 1,064,000

Pacquiao's Highest PPV Fights before De la Hoya:

Juan Manuel Marquez Rematch - 400,000
              Erik Morales 3rd Match - 360,000
Marco Antonio Barrera Rematch - 350,000

              TOTAL: 1,110,000

Now, here's both of their PPV buys AFTER De la Hoya. You can see that it increased considerably:

Mayweather Fights after De la Hoya

              Juan Manuel Marquez - 1,050,000
              Ricky Hatton - 925,000

              TOTAL: 1,975,000

Pacquiao Fights after De la Hoya

              Miguel Cotto - 1,250,000
              Ricky Hatton - 850,000

              TOTAL: 2,100,000

If we take the 2 highest PPV buys of their pre-Oscar fights and compare them with after-Oscar fights PPV buys, here's what it would look like:

People think is easy to sell PPV numbers I guess. But, the lower weight-classes you go the harder it is to sell PPVs. Look at the PPV numbers from 135 and below. And, tell me how many fights broke 400k.

                    Yes but Floyd is American?

We are talking about PPV numbers in America?

Isn't that enough of an advantage?

Pac is the best selling PPV star not born or living in the US.

                    Pac Hatton 850k
Pac Cotto - 1.25 Mil (Slightly higher price)
                    Pac Clottey 700k

Not bad for someone who wasn't born or lives in the US
