              I think so Check Hook he post like a kid sometimes and doesnt seem to have any knowledge on boxers prior to the year 2007.

                  I think the problem is american has too many sports and stars to support, They have basketball, NFL etc and Am sure boxing isnt there number 1 sport so its difficult for most african american boxers to have a community following, Thats why Top ranks had trouble promoting Mayweather when he was with them, they didnt know which direction to point him until Al Haymon came along.

                  In boxing it pays to have tie to another country who love boxing because they way you would be able to generate potential fanbase from two different countries.

                      Look at just boxing though there was a time when Mosley, Hopkins, Roy Jones, and Floyd were all good at the same time.
