In the situation against Floyd he will be a brawler. Cotto outboxed him for 24 minutes.

He gets Floyd, and now he has to go right back and start training camp all over again. He might be overtrained, he might of peaked already. He really went to two training camps back to back. All that has to be a factored in... I mean don't get me wrong Shane has a chance. A big chance. I just think Floyd right now is in a better postion. No matter what the winner gets huge credit from me personally

Something I thought was funny was Shane saying hes been training for Floyd since he beat Margarito. So he will be prepared.

Floyd has fought real WW's. He gets **** for fighting Hatton when it was the BIGGEST fight in the sport at the time and all of Boxingscene was going nuts for it then when he Knocked him out they all complain and say Hatton wasnt a 147 Pounder.

JMM was a tune up. I dont fault him for that.

Floyd has no other ATG's. He only has Manny which is why he needs to fight him. I wont fault him for his competition that fights at the same time he does for not being on the level of Nell, SRL and Duran etc...

Why are you knocking Floyd for the Castillo fight? He fought with a torn rotator cuff. In the rematch it was easily 8-4. I dont get that. Give Nell a torn rotator cuff then throw him in with JLC. Then we'll have a FAIR assessment. They have 2 different styles of defense. Floyd is textbook with reflexes as well. Nell was just Reflexes. Just because one style is more flashy doesnt make it better. Roy Jones was impossible to hit too at times.
I wasn't even talking about the first Castillo fight. I was talking about the rematch when Floyd was healthy and Castillo was competitive. Floyd clearly won the fight but it was no schooling. Castillo is just a poor man version of Chavez and you saw how Whitaker handled him with ease. Way easier then what Floyd handled Castillo... Floyd was in tough against Agustus, Whitaker wouldn't have been fought a verison of Agustus in Jorge Paez and Whitaker had an easier time, Jesus Chavez with his volume punching in throwing a 100 punches a round was giving Floyd fits in spots. Whitaker would have handled that dude with ease. A past prime Whitaker did just as good agaist a prime Oscar then what a prime Floyd did against a past prime Oscar IMO... I also think that version of Julio Cesar Vazquez at 154 was better than that version of Oscar at 154 that Floyd.

And, then you start to add wins over Buddy McGirt, Jose Luis Ramirez, Azumah Nelson, Greg Haugen. And, you witnessed how he handled them. Then IMO point of view it is silly to say Floyd is a better defensive fighter.

But, that might be considered overtraining no?

Cotto was successful boxing mosley, because cotto has a good jab (him being left handed helps in that regard.) Mosley went into the fight thinking that he could knock cotto out. Hence the reason why he was sitting down on his punches and looking to land single power shots. It is easier to counter an opponent who is aggressive and looking for the ko.
