If HBO can pay $3.2 m for Dawson-TarverII, or 2.65 m for Cotto-Clottey, and about 2 mill for Bute-Andrade2, your telling me that they are unwilling to shell out 2-3 mill for a card involving a combination of victor ortiz, nate campbell, paulie maligniaggi and amir khan?? that is 4 of the 6-8 top fighters in the hottest division in boxing right now! with the fight bieng in NY, the live gate alone will generate a good amount of money - keep in mind cotto-clottey brought in $1.7 mill at the gate! you sir, are an imbecile... first of all i think your estimation of 2-3 mill isnt right, and secondly, I think you need to stop writing subjective articles full of your own flawed opinions. this really ain't hbo's fault. now it is their fault for choosing their schedule and who to cover, but in this case, they have a budget, khan hasn't done **** in the US to warrant a $1mil guaranteed purse. Ricky Hatton was HUGE in the UK, and still is, but even his fights were broadcast on Showtime first, they don't have the budget of HBO. you think he was getting $1mil guaranteed for those first fights broadcast here? khan is a complete douche to think that he deserves $1mil for his first fight in the US at 22 or 23 or whatever when he hasn't fought anyone but an old barrera.

Wow. A member of Team Khan hiding behind a fake account. And a member of Khan's team who doesn't know what he's talking about. I stated the facts. Khan is a talented guy but he is not Ricky Hatton or Joe Calzaghe or Naseem Hamed. Khan himself, not me, but Khan himself said the British fans were so harsh on him that he planned to leave the country. Now those fans will travel here to watch him fight? Ummmm no.

This guy seems to forget 2009 was 2009 and 2010 is 2010. HBO has new budget guidelines and they are much tighter for 2010.

And please let me know what my position is? If HBO wants to pay that much for the doubleheader, that's up to them. I could care less about that. At no point did I advise HBO not to pay. I do think Khan may have to shift some of his British money to make the event happen, but that's Khan's decision.

I should clear up one of the statements because someone associated with Khan's team just sent me an email advising me this guy is not a member of their team and they are in no way affiliated with any of his statements. He is some fanatic from Chicago who probably stalks Amir outside of his window.
