i think its just ****** to say ohhh if these black sportsmen wernt playin basketball and american football they would be ruleing the heavyweight divison !

just because someone can run and jump throw a ball dont mean they have what it takes to fight !

facts are that boxing and fightin is just as much mental as it is physical !

its not about race its about situation and environment ! facts are the easten europeans are hungry there disaplind and the have the will and the skill to win !

This guy is another flunky from another sport. Besides Ken Norton and Mike Weaver who started boxing in the military how many guys have had successfull careers that started boxing after the age of 21. He won't even come close to touching the top 30. Its cool that he won the golden gloves, but Eddie Mustafa Muhamed said the amateurs are "like playing with marbles and boxing with professionals is like trying to deal with an avalanche of boulders." This guy is a complete fraud, a gimmick.

Well he hasn't had a pro fight so it is impossible to say what he will do, if they take it slow and build him properly it is possible to prosper in the heavyweight division into middle age considering he has low ring mileage.

To say he won't do anything is the same to say that he will be successful unless someone knows first hand about his drive and desire~.

Wow some people on this forum are pathetic they say he is a hype job yet havent even seen him, how are you supposed to tell he is a hype job if you have never watched him fight lol. Anyway he seem's a bit to old to be starting out and you would expect someone like Wilder to turn out better as he is a young fighter with an Olympic medal and has one his last 8 fights but who is to know none of us do.

At least michael grant made some $ & got a title shot, tye fields has had moderate success & made a decent living but this guy is 27 & hasn't even had a pro fight & is on a magazine? For once I agree with all the eastern European boxing fans that this is the worst hype job yet! Maybe he'll turn out okay but stop with the bull**** until he actually beats somebody.Tyson fury did his own self promoting & he hasn't done **** yet but everyone on boxingscene knows him so he did a pretty good job putting himself on the map after only 9 fights...but he's 21 & this guy is 27 without a pro fight...

This is true. But the people who run the US media want a black heavyweight champion.

Hill is another "great black hope" like Sam Peter and David Haye.

I'd say the American media wants a "great white hope" more than anything.other than delahoya & don king ,all the rich, big promoters are white.
