Read this issue of ESPN while waiting at the barbershop. Pretty decent guys. I like what they're doing down there in Florida.

Another Great Black Hope? LOL. The division belongs to the Klitschko Brothers until they don't want it anymore. The desperation and nostalgia by US sportswriters for a great (African) American heavyweight is just sad at this point.Comment

I haven't seen this guy yet but its a bit to early to call him the next anything because if hardcore fans don't even know who he is that is a clear sign he has not done much to date.Comment

yeah it's sad when African-American athletes choose to make hundreds of millions dollars scoring touchdowns and dunking. Take the NFL and NBA away and blacks would dominate boxing once again. Can you imagine Dwight Howard, Ron Artest, Shaq, hell even Kobe Bryant if they were boxers and not Basketball stars. We wouldn't even know the steriod Russian freaks.Comment

I'm getting on the bandwagon now.Quadtrine Hill sounds special. We need young black americans to rule the heavyweight division again to make it exciting.I can't take nothing from the European fighters that are dominating the scene. They have earned it and deserve to be in the position they are in now.But the reality is, guys with the same backgrounds as the fighters that ruled the division for so many years have turned to football and basketball or are locked up.I know there are alot of Klitchko fans, but they would only be contenders if you still had boxers like Ali, Tyson,Holyfield, Foreman, Holmes still in the fight business. These European guys are good because they are disciplined, not because they are great athletes. They also know the fundamentals of the sport. They will remain champions for a long time as long as the scene stays the way it is.But when the day finally comes when a young black fighter, who is naturally athletic and gifted, decides to learn the complete fundamentals and is disciplined...the heavyweight division will once again be dominated by him.For example. Can you imagine if Ray Lewis or Joey Porter had decided to be fighters? How about Tyrell Suggs or Lamont Peterson? How about Dwayne Wade, who is 6'4 and 220lbs? If athletes on that level chose boxing as their profession,do you truly believe that these European fighters would be where they are now? Be honest...just imagine that. Its not about being racial, its about being honest.I truly admire both Klitchko brothers because they are students of the game and they come to fight every time out.Plus, they are always in shape. Its not their fault that there aren't any american black fighters that are hungry enough to make the sacrifices they have made.I pray for the day when another resurrecter of the heavyweight division will appear. I'm praying that it will be Quadtrine Hill.Comment

LOL.
They don't hate eastern fighters, but they dont like them.
America is a society where you have to be a black guy with a loud mouth that come and hype the fight on TV shows ala Ali or the "white america"champion ala Marciano,Morrison or Dempsey or they will be bored.Thse clowns are so biased in their rankings. And Euro fighters are overlooked in history, they dont have the place, hype they deserve.
Bottom line is Klitschko Wlad so called boring isn't really when he mopes the flood with their HW hopes and paper champs.IE a perfect explosive left hook that send back Ray Austin to ESPN 2 in the second round,Byrd who get murdered twice,or a mamoth right hand on Calvin ****in Brock on the jaw.
Klitschko could make a entrance dancing good as Michael Jackson and continu to crack mother****ers jaw he would be still called boring.
So where will end Quadtrine???
Nowhere like JD Chapaman??
Or cracked in the mouth and murdered like Chad Witherspoon or Travis Walker by a fat ass like Arreola.
Or pass that HBO's hope stage and getting humiliated by a K Bro.
Only heavyweight USA suffers.
It's circus, and know they pick footballer.
FUNNY.
If you have it,if you are a warrior, then you go to boxing.Or boxing ome to you.
Now,american fighters are too soft, brother ****m said it himself.
So they should play basketball and let euros heavies get their props and fight themselves.
Because, they always put these american hopes in front of Klits when a lot of guys in Europe deserve their shot.Comment

I would consider Wlad a very good athlete he is pretty quick for a man his size and I am firmly convinced both K-bros could be competitive with any HW who ever fought and it is not out of the question in my mind they either of them could have gotten a win over any past ATGs in mythical match ups.
Is it that their opponents are so bad or are they actually good and do they just look bad when in the ring with Vitali and Wlad?
The HW division is as it always has been, there are just a couple guys head and shoulders above the rest and if those fighters didn't exist the sub par comp that is left would create a competitive division where the belts change hands constantly.
The Hill guy would most likely be another Ray Austin waiting to happen if that, there is no reason to over hype someone who hasn't really done anything to think he could make it in the sport at the elite level.Comment

Klitschko is more athletic than the dudes he fought.I'm getting on the bandwagon now.Quadtrine Hill sounds special. American fighters ruled the division when it only was an american sport.A FACT
Most of heavyweights in the world are american right now,and they are big too,look Kevin Jonson(250,6.4),Tony Tompson(6.6 250 LBS)Ray Austin(6.6 245 LBS),McCline(6.6 270 LBS)they just sucks.A FACT.
Afro american are more athletic than euros??
Well I agree,they rules track sports,basketball.A FACT
So if athleticism is only speed, jumping and agility then OK.
That's cool, but you seem to ignore that european, especially eastern are STRONGER.
Just look at fields sports like disk throwing,javelin...weight lifting, euros rule that ****.ANOTHER FACT.
So they are stronger.
Your so called "gifted" fighters aren't gifted in every departments....
How do you know americans were the best athletes???
It only was an american sport with two brits and a german in Ali's era.NOT A WORLDWILD SPORT.
But a great era.EXCITING.AGREED.
It's not because dudes are more entertaining, cool to watch that they were better.
Wayde would probably be chinny and a quiter tough he's athletic.Comment
