lol Ali wasnt even really liked in America until his come back, And how can you call Ali hyped he has a great record. Anyway about this Hill guy i couldnt even find any AM fights of his on Youtube so i got no idea how good he is. It seems he has turned pro a couple of years to late but none of us know what standard he will be he could be rubbish but he might be a solid fighter lets at least wait a couple of years.

haye got exposure bcuz of what he did in the ring, unifying the CW division and being an entertaining fighter. hes big cuz he has such a strong following in his native England, which consisits of mainly whites.

sam peter never got too much hype to begin with, he got what u would expect from someone who knocked ppl out the way he knocked out williams. and after the wlad fight he looked like a guy who would whupp wlad in a couple of years, except he didnt have the discipline to train hard and improve.

there have been plenty of hyped white HWs too, mesi, fields, fury etc. arreola is hispanic.

its about nationality and entertainment value, NOT RACE!
I agree with that, like I said US medias want an entertaining black dude with a loud mouth or a white people champion, white or black doesn't matter, they just have to be american.

What is that kind of mentality dudes???

I know not every american bros think like that but those complexes of superiority are annoying.
It's very disrespectfull for the Klitschkos.I mean, every time they saw an article on HW boxing,it's not in order to give them props or talk about their fights but who will beat them next in the US prospects and be the "next great".

I know for a fact Klitsckos are great heavyweight and they are just right here.

Both are great athletes,I never saw a big strong guy like Wlad being so explosive and accurate at the same time in any sports.

And Vitali, when have you ever saw a tall skinny guy so strong, accurate that can't move side to side????

Both could have beat anybody,I'm not sayin they would have, but could have for sure.
That Vit's reach and movements and that Wlad's power, accuracy is a problem for anybody.

Those who beat a Klitschko went trough hell and were dominated before getting a tko or a lucky punch.
Klitschko are beatable,it's fact, everybody is beatable,BUT THEY COULD HAVE BEAT ANYBODY AS WELL.

Why is it a big deal being white or black?

The guy is from the U.S., so he'll going to be pushed, supported, and hyped by the U.S.

Athletes do not always equate to good boxers.

Exactly. Some of the greatest boxers/fighters weren't even great athletes but they refused to lose.

There's enough black guys in boxing, and they get hammered by the Klitschkos, just like the white guys. You're telling me there's not enough black athletes left over after the relatively minimal amount who make the NBA and NFL for boxing? That's a rationalization that has no real basis in fact.

The NFL/NBA argument is a joke. How many guys in the NBA look like they could be boxers? Bull****. Weak excuse. The Klitschkos hammer black guys like Byrd, Rahman, "Kingpin" Johnson, Tony Thompson, etc., just like they hammer everyone else.

Talk to the affable former University of Miami fullback for any length of time, and it’s clear that he also has the personality to be a breath of fresh air in a stale division.

But the first two elements won’t get you anywhere in this game without the third member of the triumvirate. That number three is being able to fight, and if the 2009 Florida Golden Gloves were any indication, the 27-year old Hill could turn out to be the real deal, as he defeated Carl Frederich, Christopher Roberson, and Jarrett Brock in successive bouts, with the knockout of Frederich in less than a minute…

“Six seconds,” Hill clarifies with a smile.

Yes, six seconds. Just enough time for Hill to walk to the center of the ring and drill his opponent with a right hook that sent him sprawling to the mat and almost out of the ring, even surprising Hill.

“I didn’t even think I hit him that hard,” he said. “Then I watched the replay, and his head snapped back in slo-mo, and he almost flies out of the ring and the scorekeepers are ready to catch him from going through the ropes. And it isn’t like I laid into it, I was backing up when I hit him. It was a right hook and I was backing up when I threw it.”

Tye Fields got on TV because he was promoted by Arum, being white or black had nothing to do with it. Only an idiot would believe he'd ever be heavyweight champion. I made a thread here prediction he'd lose to journeyman/fringe contender Monte Barrett a few days before it happened, here it is:

You must be dumb if you can't see that media writers and commentators like Kellerman, Raskin, Rosenthal, Atlas, Hershman and the author of this article about Quadrine Hill want a Black heavyweight champion.
Ali was the most hated fighter in heavyweight history. He was predicted by the media and the public to get knocked out in one round by Liston. He was thought to be a loudmouth punk who could not back it up.

What I think many of the media wants is a MARKETABLE heavyweight champion. Whether he is white or black, they want him to be able to speak English fluently, appear in some commercials, and make heavyweight boxing relevant to the public again.
