I highly doubt he becomes anything. 28 years old and yet to have a professional bout, the chances are so unlikely. ESPN should be focusing on Wilder or someone who has actually done something. Good story though.

27, but yeah, no amateur background, plus he's only 6'2".

Looks like a little too much weight lifting muscle to be a boxer, too.

Seth Mitchell is a former football player about the same size that has had some success though

I give certain credit to the Klitschkos for always coming to the ring in shape. But in terms of their skill the truth of the matter is that they couldn't hold the jockstrap of all time American greats like Jim Jeffries, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, and Muhammad Ali.

They are lucky to have come along when they did because in most other eras they wouldn't have been champs.

As for this football player I highly doubt he is going to be a throwback to the legendary American heayvweights of years past, unless he's something very special.

You are dead wrong about that. Everyone loses or retires but they never stop "wanting" it.

              The NBA/NFL excuse is WEAK.

50-60% of professional heavyweights are American(mostly blacks) you dumbass.

American big men have gone soft. That's the truth.

Eastern Europeans are stronger, hungrier, tougher and more determined than you Americans.

And there are tons of potential Eastern European Heavyweight Boxers who are doing Combat Sambo, MMA, Kickboxing, Hockey, Olympic Wrestling, Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Worlds Strongest Man Competitions, etc.

America isn't the only country on the planet that has other sports you ignorant racist piece of ****.

It's another American Heavyweight with hardly any amatuer experience or boxing experience. I can't take him seriously until I see him win some fights.

I get a kick out of these fools that think anyone would make a great boxer, just because of their size.

If that was the case, Julius Long would be a world champ
