calzaghe obviously has the better resume...........maybe things wouldve been different if winky hadnt been robbed vs simon, vargas and taylor(and i would even say hopkins in real punching...though im not against people having the impression hopkins got the better of the fight with his cheating tactics, hell, winky didnt lose a round in whcih he didnt get dropped vs vazquez, which makes that fight a 1 point win for vazquez at most.....), but as it stands in paper, calzaghe has that undefeated record even if his resume aint strong overall, its not like winky has a resume like DLH either as far as fighting name opponents...

there , the biggest winky fan in the world said it.....

      Open your eyes.

Vargas was miles!!!! better than Lacy.

What ever we say about his win over Wink it was actually a very close fight, he also beat Quartey who clearly should of got the nod over Oscar, Quartey got flat out robbed against Forrest.

Vargas gave Tito a tough fight and pushed him to the wire as he did with DLH.

Saying Lacy is comparable to Lacy in sig worthy.

Quartey you could argue but you have to take into account that Quartey clearly should of got decisions over DLH & Vernon Forrest.

Its all about who the opponent has beaten or perceived to have beaten in Quartey's case. Dont poo poo that either because we all know Whitaker did not draw with Chavez but he still got mad props like he actually did win.
I dont even know what you're talking about anymore. Whittaker-Chavez? Wtf? Take a deep breath or something.

I believe the phrase you used was "elite and in their prime".

I think Vargas was limited, but he was better than Jeff Lacy. As far as the Winky-Joe comparison Winky went on to be much better than he was in the Vargas fight, while Joe was in his prime when he beat up Lacy. I think Winkys 2 wins over Mosely are better than any 2 wins Joe has.

Tito was not that far outta his prime to the point where you would not rate it as an excellent win.

Tito was not like Jones against Calzaghe he was still a very good fighter and would of had trouble with Wink at any time in his career due to stylistic issues.

Lacy wasn't great but was pretty good before the shoulder injury and the beating Joe gave him. I think Jeff gets underrated as far as what he could have been before the injury because of ppls low opinion of Joe and wow badly he beat Lacy.

Vargas at his best was good, nothing more nothing less.
