That kinda side stepped my question though - has any of Al Haymon's fighters fought in the past?

Would he really protect Berto? If Floyd tells Haymon, "I want to fight Berto!" Haymon would say no?

He should fight the winner of Berto/Mosley, straight up. If not then Paul Williams. I'm going to be so pissed if he fights Campbell or even Bradley. No disrespect to Nate or Tim but it's time Floyd starts fighting some WWs. If he wants to fight JWWs, then he needs to fight at 140.

From what i gather from G.leon from boxing talk, He said Al Haymon bailed Mayweather out with money, Which means Al Haymon would protect his investment in Mayweather against any of his fighters until he has recoup all his money back from Mayweather, Which means he wouldnt let Mayweather/Williams/berto all in the same ring.

So to answer you question NO Mayweather doesnt have a say if he wants to fight Berto or Williams.

I understand what your saying here, but it's not relevant if Pac is tied up until mid March with Clottey. If he waits until the Mosley-Berto winner is known, he still has 6 weeks before March 13th to negotiate that fight for May. You know both mosley and Berto would jump all over a fight with Floyd. It's not as if they're sitting at home picking between whether they want to fight Floyd or Pac. They'd be delighted to get either.

I can't think of any reason why he wouldn't wait til May over April. He's probably just posturing so it looks as though he's not actually waiting around for Berto-Shane winner. Nothing definitive has been announced yet so we're all babbling over nothing. I'm just gonna wait until a proper statement is released before judging the man. I have a feeling it will be February before we know for sure.

Yeah, Because we are been denied a great deal of fight options there, at least Arum put all his WW and fighters against each other in the ring.

Which is why I would give him a pass if he did cherry pick an oppenent this time because your right if he fight's Mosely he gains the belts and his sales smash Pacquiao's without question. Which would then put Pacquiao in a bad spot because then it wouldn't even matter how bad he beat Clottey or what the #'s where because there's no way there going to be on the scale of a Mayweather-Mosely. So let him fight his Bradley, Campbell, or however the hell he decides to pick because then it leaves the door wide open for Pacquiao-Mosley. Which is indeed, who I want to see him up against next; assuming he gets by Clottey. If Mayweather's smart which he doesn't seem to be at the moment he should target first and for most: SMM. That's the second biggest fight out there an if he wins...Pacquiao's ***ed. A future bout between Pacquiao and Mayweather would be highly unlikely considering those facts: Mayweathers sales would be higher and he would have the belts to go with it...leaving him in total control over the negations...if a future bout was to come to pass between the 2.

the winner? We all know Floyd is much more comfortable on taking on the loser of Mosley/berto and make a 24/7 out of it
