Since the entire Boxing World is currently focused on the "Fighting Pride of the Philippines" Manny Pacquiao, the impact of his Victory over Mayweather will only bolster his ever increasing popularity in this sport. The Pacquiao Story will forever be ingrained in the minds of boxing historians and fans for years to come.

It's been a very long time since a great boxing prodigy emerged to capture the hearts and minds of the Philippine Nation thus becoming a living legend to its people. Pacquiao's rise to fame in the United States has opened the door for other inspired boxers from the Philippines to follow in his footsteps to fame and glory.

Manny Pacquiao has the heart of a True Champion and carries the torch for a proud nation. He is the epitome of a World Class Boxing Champion and is worthy of the praise and adoration from every boxing fan around the globe. JAT

It depends how they follow up the win. If Manny wins, then retires, then I don't think it's necessarily good for boxing. Same thing if Floyd wins and then decides to fight Matthew Hatton.

If either guy parlays the win into a fight with Mosley, then it's good for boxing. Keep the momentum going with another superfight.

The point is people don't "really" love boxing like they once did and granted they likely never will again to the same extent they did years ago. However the term "good for boxing" is widely understood as anything that raises the profile of boxing. It has nothing to do with exclusively what hardcore fans enjoy.

without question a pacquiao win. if fraudulent jr. wins he will retire because beating pacquiao will mean to him & his delusional fanbase that he truly is the greatest of all time & that there is nothing left to prove.

win or lose pac will continue fighting. you think brett farve was waffling? wait until you see pac. his foray into the elections will cost him millions which will bring him back from multiple retirements.
