    Lennox had the tools to beat any heavy.

    On a good night he would beat Ali, Prime Tyson, Foreman anyone.

    let the hate come!

      *Old footages looks like cartoons. Its very hard to compare them with todays fighters. And the speed of those footages arent accurate.

          Nat Fleischer, Founder of RING Magazine, saw them ALL from Jim Jeffries to George Foreman, [he died in 1972] was an acknowleged boxing expert, and has said time after time that the best of all was Jack Johnson.

          Another very important expert said the same thing. Chappie Blackburn, Joe Louis, "manufacturer", and trainer, told Louis that Johnson would have "beaten you very easily", that he had the "uncanny knack of knowing when to reach out" and touch his opponent, putting him off balance, just when he was getting ready to punch.

          And as we know from many contemporary writers and experts, Johnson basically played with his opposition. He had to, like all fighters, and in particular BLACK fighters, make a fight last, so that fans got "their money's worth" and would come again.

          Johnson's little habit is very noticeable in his fight with Stanley Ketchell, whom he clinched several times and held him up when he was on the point of going down. He only really hit him hard once, and that was when Ketchell had scored a sneaky flash KD against Johnson. Johnson got up quickly and with the very next punch, KO'd Ketchell.

          The information about that fight is that Johnson had important shares in the film rights, and was very concerned that it last as long as possible.

          It was really supposed to have been an exhibition fight.

            Joe Louis ans Ali at their best beat any fighter who ever lived in my opinion.
            Well....let me tell you Carnera wan't a bad fighter at all, and was far from being the worst champion.

                  If we are realistically then in that case is Ali. If we talking about mythical then is still Ali. Ali is the greatest HW of all time for a reason. Cuz he was that damn good. And, fought in the best era of HW boxing and came out as #1.

                      I don't think anyone really believes Ali would reliability beat Vitali, Lennox, Wlad, but he is a childhood hero to a lot of them and they can't throw him under the bus.

                      If you all the international talent out of cruiserweight division and let B/C-level American fighters have long hard slop wars for the title it would probably be HUGELY popular today just like Ali-Frazier was, but those days are gone.

                      EDIT: Why did you bump this from 2009?
