Not only that but to add 7 titles 7 divisions only fighter to ever do that. And, also be the only fighter in over a 100yrs of history to win lineal Flyweight and lineal Featherweight title. Pac legace is cemented already. Nothing that happens from here on out will take that away.

Wasn't Hatton signed to Showtime at the time? How could he and Floyd fight? When Floyd was an HBO fighter...

Now yes Floyd has greater PPV buys against common opponents like Oscar and Hatton and Pac. But, you really can not count the JMM PPV as a common opponent...
to be honest, cotto was a champion and was feasting on alot of floyds common opponents. by the time cotto was elite at 147 (for all of a year and a half) floyd went into "legacy dont pay bills" mode and didint give a *** unless its a megastar in a megafight. regardless, they never offered anything. it was better to deface mayweathers name for ducking him asopposed to actually being serious about fighting him, it helped cottos stock.

but at 140 it would have been a great fight. at 147 it would have been a great fight, im dissapointed it never happened. but on the other hand, no extension was ever offered, nobody from cottos camp did little else other than talk, i cant put that all on floyd.

I remember he said about having pillows in there. I try to find a link for you.

And, everybody has giving Oscar every advantage possible. Floyd is not the only one. Hopkins did it. Pac did it. Oscar will have every advantage he can get against anybody he fights with.

I don't really count alphabet titles too much unless of course the fighter is holding at least 3 out of 4 in one particular weight class. A lot of those titles aren't even worth the leather they put em on.... paper titles

            I'm a lineal title/ring magazine title guy O_O

but you're right that nothing that happens from here on out will take anything away from his legacy

I know. because they want to get paid. the only person i ever saw oscar conceeded to was pac, and thats because oscar wanted/needed that fight more than pacquiao.

But, at 140 Cotto was not an elite fighter. Cotto was still coming up. Is like right now with Berto. Berto is not an elite to me. And, Berto was a title holder he was still a prospect IMO until this passed January when he beat Collazo. Cotto was still IMO a prospect or at least still green. He was not elite at 140.

Now after Mosley he became elite. And, really he became a star after that fight. Maybe Cotto didn't wasn't dropping names as to who he wants to fight. But, that is really not in his demeanor to do so. When he beat Hatton they mentioned Cotto and what did Floyd say? And, Floyd retired but yet he was willing to do a rematch with Oscar? Whatever neither fighter was calling the other fighter out. But, it irks me sometimes when people bring out the Floyd wanted the fight at 140. Cuz really when the fight should of been made. Floyd didn't really wanted the fight either.

You can't put it all on Floyd. But, when the fight should of been made. Both Cotto and Floyd were not eager to fight each other.

Based on accomplishments, Both Floyd and Pac will be HOF fighters and could very easily be considered ATG. Now I'm a big fan of both fighters but when History has it's say IMHO Mayweather will go down as the best p4p fighter of our time, but it's pointless to discuss now cause History hasn't spoken yet. 10 years from now we'll know for sure.

What did he concede to Pac? The money? That was about it... But, the advantages in the ring before the fight was all in favor of Oscar.

And, I know everybody wants to get paid and that is why they fight Oscar. And, I am ok with it. But, to me some fans are funny cuz they act like Floyd really was in a huge disadvantage against Oscar. And, act like Floyd was the only fighter to let Oscar get all the demands. And, that really is not true.
