Maidana would be a really tough fight for Khan. I don't think Khan could beat him. I don't think Khan could beat Victor "I shouldn't be getting hit by punches, even though I'm a boxer" Ortiz either.

I think Khan's promoter is very realistic. Most of Khan's opponents with the exception of Breidis Prescott had one thing in common, they couldn't punch or they were undersized. I don't think Warren is that comfortable with placing him in the ring with big punchers who also have cement chins.

Remember that Maidana turned down a Victor Ortiz rematch because he was waiting to fight the winner of Khan-Salita. The WBA will mandate this fight. Khan doesn't really need the WBA belt and the fight is not worth a lot of money. He will have a good excuse only if Warren is able to get him a bigger fight. If he can't, then it's going to look bad.

They should have never got Khan to fight for a belt so soon.

Even though Khan has a belt, he is still just a young prospect in my eyes. A very good prospect yes, but not a champion.

They should have waited another year for him to mature and then get a title shot. He and his crew should be fine with taking on all comers and styles if they are going to label themselves as a champion.

Blame this on a ****ty management team. It is not Khan's fault as I am sure the kid would fight anyone.

both very good points , his team wanted to get him a belt as soon as possible to increase his marketability quickly again after his loss to prescott , but now that he has the belt i think it's time to put up the goods ,

in boxing fighters are either prospects, journeymen, contenders, or titlists. and the only classifications that can coexist imo are those of prospect and contender. once a fighter becomes a titlist, allof this nonsense about he still needs time to improve goes out of the window. champions have the responsibility of defending aginst the best available fighters, not the ones who will be the easier fight.

this entitlement mentality of some fighters is what is making this sport more and more like wwe, where they are promoting personalities, and popularity rather than the deserving fighters.

winning a title does not entitle you to getting paid because you hold the title. it entitles you to prove you are deserving of getting paid by fighting and beating the best.

yes boxing is a business, but it is the fans money that pays them. and if a fighter cannot prove himself worthy, he does not deserve the paydays simply because he has a big name promoter behind him. more and more we are seeing fighters who have done jack **** in the sport avoiding fights claiming high risk low reward. and so called fans support this nonsense.

it is time to take our sport back. and we do that with our money. if these fighters don't give us what we as fans deserve, which is the best possible oponnent, we need to stop paying to see them.
