See I think that Toney would beat Eubank, based on styles etc, but there is no way to be 100% sure, ask some of the ignorant fans though and you get this sort of answer:

Q Why would Toney beat Eubank?
A "Because he just would and don't ask why"

Thats a load of rubbish. Calzaghe has said on the record many times over the years that he most of all wants the big fights and roy jones is the biggest out there.

This is a quote from calzaghe from 2000

"I am the best super-middleweight in the world and I am out to prove that I am the best fighter on the planet. If Jones disagrees, lets get it on," he said.

"Jones is supposed to be the best fighter in the world at the moment. A showdown between us has got to happen to prove who is the best."

      Maybe whos ducking who?

Can we let this go? Calzaghe was barely a contender at 168 when Jones left the division. And there are plenty of quotes from Joe which show he had no intentions of fighting Jones. Let it go.

Both of them were shot by then. Benn due to McClellan and Eubank due to Watson II.

If you don't get what's wrong with the whole ordeal then I'm not sure what to say. Let's imagine that Dawson vacates his LHW title to move up to fight Wladimir Klitschko while in the meanwhile Tavoris Cloud for example wins that light heavyweight title. Dawson gets second thoughts about facing Klitschko, decides to come back to LHW a year later and is presented his title back while Cloud is left with nothing. That's basically what happened.

You can say that Roy would have easily won and that no one would rate those victories anyway but there's two people Roy could have easily fought, Nunn and Rocchigiani, yet he didn't.
Jones was supposed to fight Hill after Montell Griffin. In fact, Hill sat ringside and was pointed out by HBO as the next opponent for Jones. Except...Jones lost. And Hill went on to fight Michalchewski. And Jones had the rematch with Griffin.

As for Rochigianni (who had beaten Nunn) - he was the scheduled opponent who David Telesco replaced after Rochigianni backed out.

At the point in time I have to agree, but Eubank would be a tough opponent for anyone. Why a Jones-Collins fight didn't happen only Jones knows why. Maybe he was busy fighting atg like Bryant Brannon.
