Manny Pacquiao is not in Pernell Whitaker's league Pernell would make easy work of Pacquiao they shouldn't even be in the sentence together i can't belave people compare Pacquiao to greats such as Ali and Ray Robinson and Pernell Whitaker his hype is going to far Pacquiao is not even a real ATG the only thing that makes him one is 7 titles in 7 divions and he really didn't even do that so they need to stop and wait until his career is over and then see where he falls in with the ATG's

In terms of skill then yes Whitaker is better but defenitley not in terms of resume and accomplishments. If we just go by skill then it wouldn't be to far fetched to call Zab Judah an all time great... Don't get me wrong, Pernell Whitaker is one of the best of all time... I just feel Pacquiao is slightly better.

if you analyze it, the only skill pernell have over manny is his slip and duck defense. speed they're the same, pac might be faster so he obviously could somehow break every now and then thru pernell's defense. given pac's superior footwork over pernell, it's a very big possibility. and pernell's offense isnt really his forte and his power is moderate, so how in the hell could he stop manny from coming in consistently for 12rnds?
