It can easily be argued that Pacman has accomplished a good deal more than sweet pea,but if you were to ask me who wins a fight between the two,then I would lean towards Whitaker. Does that make him a greater fighter though?

Listen, greatness is driven by talent and defined by accomplishments. In this respect, Pacquiao has acomplished much more than Sweet Pea. Which is not to say that the latter did not have a great career of his own or is inferior in talent than Pac in any way shape or form. It just means Pacquiao has atteined higher plateaus and overcame more hurdles than Whitaker. I think Pernell's addiction shortened what could have been a much greater career.
